I think his name was Rascal? He was a Shetland pony mix I believe, very well behaved and great with little kids

If I had to guess, I'd say Cody. I've wanted a horse since I was five, and sometimes my uncle let me ride his geldings. I always wanted to ride a buckskin he called Chrysalis but I called Jean. Jean stood out as a buckskin among sorrels. I only got to ride Jean like twice before he got thrush (I was told he was sold, but I'm pretty sure they shot him.) Cody was the gentlest, so I got to ride him around, usually on a lead rope until I began riding lessons. Cody is still alive, and he was my favorite after Jean. Cody's just a sorrel Quarter, probably crossbred.

The first horse was Hope.
Literally, for me that was a hope, because that was my first time on the horse. And now I am riding almost 9 years. That was my hope and it get real! |
Mine was a mule named Sally. She's very stubborn and forced her way out of her stall right before I led her to the arena, but she is a very good girl

I've been around horses all my life, so I'm not to sure who was the very horse I rode, but my guess it was an appaloosa gelding named rawhide. My family has a tradition, that ever child in the family can ride a horse for the first time at age 1. (being lead of course) My first lesson horse was named Sahalie, and is actually the mother of the horse I ride now, featured in my profile picture.
