I don’t remember his name, but he was a bad trail horse I rode in the Rocky Mountains. He would stop to eat, then trot off after everyone else. Having never ridden a horse before, I was slumped in the saddle and now whenever I get off a horse my tailbone hurts.

I think her name was Sugar, and she was a beautiful dapple roan that I got to ride at a friend's birthday party when I was six or seven. I was instantly in love with horses because of that. She was mild tempered and sweet, very motherly, and you could tell that she loved children. She was super patient with all of the grade schoolers climbing all over her and very gentle.
