Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Does anyone happen to have any luck getting wins with kwpn dominant crosses? I picked one up in the sales to breed, but she only likes getting seconds for medefault smiley :sdefault smiley <:o)default smiley :-))

What kind of skills does the horse have?
Could someone direct me to the list of crossbreed-friendly teams? It was in someone's EC forum, but I've looked through the last few pages and can't figure out who it was.

I love Trakehner/Marwari crosses; they work so well!

New Boy

The skillset will be good for reining if you beach 50% for higher gallop and then 50% for higher dressage, and have Horseshoe Studs on dressage.

I'm not sure if I'll skill exactly him though, because I have a higher GP mare and the awesome Marwari team I got covers from also has a higher GP stallion that I'm hopefully going to be able to breed together~

Well shes finally starting to come around! Shes a kwpn/TB cross with the top three being dressage, speed, and gallop I believe. Remind me to never bother with kwpn's again, even if I only need it for a 4-way

I really like that one, do you do western with them then?

I think so, yeah. I'm not as familiar with Western comps as I am Classical, but both Waris and Trakes do better there so I'm not gonna deviate from that.

Well, here's the new kid on the block. Shes about 300 gp ahead of my other IH mare who's currently #1IH, so she should knock her down to second, which I guess is okaydefault smiley <:o)

For any of those who already know about my Fourty Four Faces project, I have exciting news!
I have finally collected enough crossbreeds that I have predicted my future breeding plan should it all go well; including a maximum amount of aging points should the worst case scenario be I cover my last four foals with only one new breed instead of two or more!

I've spent the last week confusing myself and continually losing track of where I was up to, and now I've finally had the chance to sort it all out.

If you're interested, I've entered all the information here.

Also, if you're an avid crossbreeder who's looking for a wider range of stock, please don't hesitate to contact me. In my forum you can also find a list of the top 3 skills per breed so you can help compare what breeds would compliment others.

I've got 2 due in 4 days? that'll be really way cool. Or maybe it's 3. I forgot. But in any case...as usual, I've got perhaps 20? mares I want to retire who can be bred for 1-2 more foals, most with TB blood. So anyone wanting customs...help? default smiley xd

Anyway, I'd like to get involved again. I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on BLUPing this kid?

For this one - you'll want to do both mountain and forest rides, and comp in cutting.

Does anyone have a high GP 50/50 stud (or several) that I could have a covering from with any two of these breeds: Arabian, Akhal-Teke, Gypsy Vanner, Nokota, Holsteiner, Selle Français, Trakehner, Quarter Horse, or Morgan? I'm trying to make a few four way XC crosses for rosettes.

I have a few! There's this GV cross and this Trake cross I could skill up. I also have others in my Competition Horses, then Skillers Male tab. You can also PM me if you need a pure Trake cover~

Seventh Ave. Gyp team is cross friendly.
I have quiet a few 50/50 crosses but no skillers. I don't work as many crosses as I'd like since they just pile up waiting for custom foal orders so I can retire them. I finished another group of 8 and started a new group all born in 2014. I go by date of birth rather than GP with them.

I am excited about some TB/Standy/? something crosses soon...we'll see what happensdefault smiley :)

My latest finished cross studs that can offer covers are...

Monkey

Did I?

Gah!

It's been a while since I been in this topic. Sorry to be gone so long. Anyway here's my newest Magical's Magik. What do you all think? I bought a pure Lustiano filly to blup with him to breed him back to to keep working on dressage. I am trying to find high gp breeds that top skill is dressage to mix in I lost my notes so if anyone knows of any and a team for them that is cross friendly let me know please.
Here my newest cross,HømeTøwn. Any thoughts?

Anyone have some ideas to cross this mare with when she's BLUPed? I know a QH would be fine, but I was thinking maybe an Appy or Paint. Thoughts?
