Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

oops i meant to say training default smiley :d
the only tip I can give you is to use 100BLUP parentage and go for a goal if you want to produce for the ranking, a super comp horse or all-star crosses...I have seen your crosses and I do like the lusi/ hunter mix that is a lovely cross

Xellossnut has a great thread in her forum for cross-breeders - go and have a look

It would be fantastic if my 1101GP Mar mare got her 20 comp wins. This is the longest it's ever taken for a BLUPper to get her 20. Ugh. Really want to compare the GP of her future TB cross foal with some TB/Mar crosses I bred a couple weeks ago.
I forgot to add the lin to the ideal horse Lazybones - Here is the paint/ standy which I'll blup and bolt

Grrrrr....where is that 0.0000001% that made this test foal come out TB instead of Marwari. Would make a nice barrel horse, but I need that trot to rise.

I shared her last night but I thought I'd post again. I calculated all her skills. With around 58e lessons she should end up with at least 1940 skills. She'll beat the top gallop Shetland by 100 skills. Might be able to make the Speed rankings too if I beach ride for Speed.

Built To Impress

If I decide to do another cross I think I'll cross her with TBxFry or ShetlandXFry to raise her Dressage.

Thanks, eatcud! I knew I'd come back sooner or later. Crosses are addicting. default smiley :p

All I need to start BLUPing Built To Impress is a Timer and for her board at my center to run out so I can get her into a higher lessons center. Can't wait to see her fully bolded.

What would you guys think would be the best cross for Cross Country? I have my Arab/Hano mare I'm blupping right now, she's coming along great.

I so wish we had a crossbred ranking system so I could see how she compared to other crosses.

horse+ponylover08 - As of today, if you fully bolded his trot, he would be 5th on the thoroughbred trot skill board.

@a911245 Vanners, Barbs, and Canadians are all good stamina breeds. Vanners have great public covers out so you should check in on that.
