Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

I've decided that I will need to geld ChampionOfTheFey(S) if I want to get him to full potential which is sad. I'll wait until he gets his 20 wins though first.

Gelding only helps with comps, unless you're planning on using him as a victory board horse, or possibly a Prix horse, gelding after 20 wins does not help. It's only comp bonus, not actual skill, so isn't needed on a skillor, and you could make money off of covers.
Oh. Thanks Rorhi. I didn't know... Oh well. I probably won't bother gelding him then.

Rorhi can you look at ChampionOfTheFae(S) if you have time and tell me if I'm doing ok with him?

Just picked up this little guy. Should make a nice GV Cross skillor. Can't wait until the exchange is accepted so I can start training; who knows, he may become a popular stud like my other GV Cross was default smiley :p

The temptation to put a GA/H.Ray on him once I begin training.. but I have got to make myself wait until the next round of coats is available.
By Retired breeder, 12th December 2011 20:33:25
That coat is adorable!

He looks good so far, are you using Xelloss' guide? I would finish up his dressage and continue cross country until he doesn't gain any more skill, then finish up gallop, and put him in barrels to get gallop skill if he doesn't get his 20 from cross country. Otherwise, he looks really good.
Thanks Rorhi, but I'm having some trouble because I need to beach his stamina so I won't train gallop until after I finish beaching stamina. Thanks for the advice.

Wonderful little mare named "Crazy Girl . I havent touched her in a week, she is only 6 years old and is already ranked 50th in Stamina ranking for Lustiano's horses. Her training is not finished yet, and if bred to a GV, I will hopefully get a the #1 Stamina Lustiano horse (:

Over the moon with this mare She's the first of my crossbreds to make it onto the overall Elite Boards for a breed & she's in two other rankings, 1st in the Holsteiner Speed rankings & 9th in the Holsteiner Dressage rankings. Overall she's ranked as the #10 Holsteiner.

By Retired breeder, 13th December 2011 20:33:00
@The Fifth Estate I am interested in that GV colt of yours! I love the GP and * on him! Is he for sale?
By Retired breeder, 13th December 2011 20:59:26
So now the public covers for Frys are up to 1360+ GP, which makes my 87.5/12.5 Fry/Lusi twins from a 74* Fry cover irrelevant. Bred myself a new set of twins for both my EC and for my breeding project. Here's one of the lovely ladies. Now to find the time to actually skill them.

Also reached 1100 GP with my Mars so now I'm gonna be BLUPping both the filly and the Paint for the gallop project. Four generations of black Marwaris so far. Wonder how long I can keep the streak going, default smiley xd

Hey guys!

I don't believe I've ever posted in here, but I've been breeding crossbreds for a while now. I'd like to find someone with some good studs to breed with, since I seem to be incapable of producing them myself, LOL.

Here are some of my recently BLUPped girls. Some are fully bold, some are just getting done BLUPping. None have been clouded yet.

KABOOM (Ranked #2 in TB Jumping! default smiley :) )
Sylent Wynter
Avalanche
Ebony Reign

And the first boy I've produced in a while, who is going to be my next project.....

Lusti/Paint C

Have a look and let me know what you think. And if you're interested in foals/covers/anything, send me a PM! default smiley :)
Thanks for giving Beats by Dre apples guys! default smiley :)
