Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Did it. Here's the result!

Filly turned out slightly better than the original foal, plus I used Tears on her. Wish me luck!

Might even try doing the same but reversing the parents, resulting in a Frie of the same stats... hmmmm...

Thanks Fen! It is all thanks to megawifey! I am hoping to get a couple babies out of her and then maybe sell her off so I can BLUP her baby!

I'm currently thinking about going into a crossbreeding project to better my Hano line or simply start with a new line all together. Do you think Hano/Fresians would do well together? Or Hano/Welsh?
I think that would be a good match.

Does anyone breed Newfie Arab Crosses?
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 13:52:35
I know this is the...cross breeders forum. But is getting 20 first place wins by the age of 4 years and 6 months...good?? I am going to use this mare for crossbreeding thoroughbreds and paints. And I want to start as soon as possible.
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 13:54:44
Also. Can someone tell me her blup??
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 13:59:00
She has 49.69 blup, nearly half way there! And yes, 20 wins by that age is good. Remember you need to get her over the age of 10 also before you get 100 blup.
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 13:59:04
Her BLUP is 41.75. 20 wins at that age is a great start.

My thoughts on the mare:
She has low GP, low blup, and no stars. I personally think you should start with a different mare.
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 13:59:59
Whoah! Her Blup just raised!default smiley :o
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 14:13:52
Thanks Poky. I know...but maybe a good stallion might fix it...
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 14:14:17
I am going to get higher thoroughbreds. Then buy some paints and get good ones.
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 14:19:49
That's right. She'll probably make a better stallion.default smiley ;)
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 14:41:30
I ran out of aging points. default smiley :p
By Retired breeder, 24th June 2010 14:46:48
Thats what I always do as well spazz
I fell so dumb I accidentally trained my mare in the wrong thing, that about being finished with bluping by 10 yrsdefault smiley (lol)
I just bred a decent filly. I might sell her.

Annalise, Cremella's foal

And then i think [urlhttp://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=9312764]Storm Cloud[/url] is coming along well. Just need bold speed and dressage! Then gallop?

Not gallop in order to fully blup her youd have to fully bold speed, dressage and stamniadefault smiley ;) I like her though
I can't see her stats, that's one reason why i put the question mark. Thanks. She is a great mare.
