Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

BLUP Mar/Lusis in dressage, barrels, and reining comps. Also you can't breed a crossbred back to pure; the game used to allow it but too many purebred breeders complained so Howrse changed the rules.

Man. Oh well. I'll can still get it up as far as it could go.
my boy won 19 of the 24 cross country rosette comps I entered him in. The ones he didn't win were the all breed ones. Will stick to breed only

This horse is not a high GP but is turning out to be a good barrel comper.
Slick crossbreds tend to last longer especially if the skill set is significantly different from the purebred horses, my 900 odd GP RDH still wins his compsvquite happily

@HB I am jealous! I can't find any horses in the sales that have won rosettes... I'll never be able to get the spanish mustang at this rate... lol
I am wondering if I should have this horse as a western horse or classical... any input?

If anyone needs help getting a Western rosette my reining comp offers one [469.80-939.60% in gallop]. Two of my other comps are just below the threshold - my western pleasure comp [480.80-961.50% in trot] and trail class [505.00-1010.00% in dressage]. Also the diamonds finally came in. Now I feel comfortable bolting my Fry and getting her the cloud pack.
I'm back! I failed in the middle of a song I was doing with my sister... 'o.0
The diamonds still havent come in, do you get mail or something telling you they came?

@Twi did you use tears?

I can't figure out if I should wait a Nyx or just put arms on my Paint mare... default smiley :p
they aren't too bad Twi, sometimes it takes a few breedings to get a good one. I normally have to breed 3-4 to get inborns I am okay with

If you use the same parents, 100 BLUP, will their foals always have the same ibs?
Notbob

no they will not have the same. my last arab breeding, I got a spread of 415-445. I have found it is normally every 3rd foal will be a keeper, just the pattern I have had
