Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

stallion- thanks for the feedback! I shall keep you in mind if I am ever in need of your horses skills default smiley ^)
I don't know any specific appy/paint breeders. One of my friends bred an appy, but it was a heavy cross and done a while ago. I don't know if she still breeds them or not. default smiley *-) I'm a Trakehner breeder though.

nice! thanks guys (:
and Twilight, it really does'nt have to be too specific I suppose since I will be crossing them anyways default smiley :p ha,
I'm just playing around for the moment. I specifically wanted a appy/paint cross to pair with my appy/ thoroughbred cross to see how the skill set combined, but we will see how that goes !
Shiney- I breed more into Stamina, and surprisingly somehow my QH's turned into amazing gallop horses (:

I have actually started dabbling around with Paints. They are really growing on me, especially after I did the one for the Western objectives--Don't Tap the Glass. Love him. default smiley (l)

With regards to the previous conversation, we call them gophers in Canada. lol. Just wanted to throw that in.

And I have a nice QP/Barb I might train up on the weekend. Need to get my mind off this school business that I am SO done with. I'm so close to actually being done, that it makes me not want to put in any effort whatsoever lol.

Nice guys! good looking horses you all have (;
I have Just bred my mare Calico Bay (I'd do a link but I always fail, I will work on it) who is a dabble of EvErYtHing it seems, to a nice GV stallion! we'll see how that turns out default smiley :d

Twi- Im following your lead default smiley :p , time for bed! goodnight everyone thanks for the help so fardefault smiley :-))

Well, I need to get some stales that aren't dominant in the breeds I want so that with 4 way crosses I can get the right breeds. So that's Aussie, and Paso but a different breed is dominant in the stally. Ugh going to take a while!
By Retired breeder, 16th February 2012 03:39:34
Good luck doing stamina with barbs. It's their best skill.

And thanks Twi. I'm always just in time. Never late at all default smiley :p

That is supposed to say stallys darn autocorrect!
Bestfriends- Seriously? I did not know that, nevermind then (;

Barbs are sooo much fun to blup. I love them. I might do a barb cross next but I still don't have anything that's good in western comps. Any suggestions?
