Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Yeah, I know, I bought her half-trained and I *thought* she'd win her competitions as I finished her up, low and behold, nope. I usually don't buy half trained horses, but I've been dying to do this cross for awhile now, so my impatience got the better of me.

I also hate it when people do that with the pricing/won't take no for an answer. It's very irritating.

I can't stand this any longer. I will do my crosses this weekend. I will. Yes. I will.
Lazy, sorry I don't know too many people who do fjords. I know Xello has one...can't remember the gender and I think he is a 4 way, not sure ifhe is out for stud. Mess also has one, but not sure if he is BLUPed. Just going from what I have seen in this forum lately

default smiley (lol) I just pulled a Xellos and showed up right when I was mentioned.

Yeah, I have a 4 way Fjord cross. He's BLUP'd too. I don't think I'm going to offer coverings with him just yet though. He's more of a comp horse at the moment. In a couple weeks though I'll start offering covers.

Here's a link to him:

αиgεℓѕαяεmeekтoo

I still need to Cloud him but he's doing well even without clouds. He's #3 in overall Fjord skill, #2 Stamina, #4 Gallop, #1 Jump, #1 Dressage. With Clouds he should make #1 overall Fjord. I just need that one last horse to sell and I'll be able to get him the Cloud pack.

Taking a break from that Friesian mare for the time being & working with two of my Holisteiner cross stallions that are in Western, at least they're getting their jobs done default smiley xd

Woops, I also have another stud currently offering coverings asides from Angels. He's Wimshurst. He was the #1 Fjord for a month or so but got bumped down. His GP is a little low but it's better than a lot of other public offers.
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:23:59
lol its creeping when people do that!!! and ok ill see if Xello is offering but if not will i be able to have a cover when your offering please default smiley :) I like his coat!! default smiley :d
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:26:03
Thanks, Lazybones. Haha, and I don't mean to be creepy. I literally just refreshed the page, scrolled down, and saw I got mentioned.

I can't wait until Angels gets clouded. He's going to have so many skills! He might even be my first cross to make over 500 dressage!
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:26:41
this is the mare. i kinda of trained her wierd and now i cant get her to win anything
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:28:26
oh wow!!default smiley :o the highest skill ive ever got in a horse is in the 300's seems really low compare to that lol . i usually try and spread the skills but im going onto fjord crosses for a while now
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:34:12
I love Fjords. I checked out your mare's genetics and I'm pretty sure that she should make a Fjord when bred to Wimshurst. The gp would be lower but the foal may make a few rankings.
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:36:33
Checked your mare again. She has great speed for a Fjord. The foal between the two of them would probably make Fjord speed and dressage rankings.
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:37:13
yeah i might do that then. ill think about it. i really better get going. ill come back on tomorrowdefault smiley :) bye
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:38:50
ok can i have a cover please. i can also have more foals from her in the future. I want to see how the foal turns out even though she isnt 100 BLUP. ill quickly do this before i go to bed default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:48:15
Sure, I'll send it over right now. Good luck with the foal!
By Retired breeder, 9th February 2012 23:49:41

I've always wanted to be mentioned and then show up right after. But I'm getting things going with my game, cutting back on everything to have more time for BLUPing and all.

I can't remember if I read this somewhere in the Western topic or not, so can y'all clear this up for me? Does my horse absolutely need a Western EC or can I just put on my own Western tack in a Classical EC?
I'm thinkin' I'll need a Western EC...

Twi, if you put the horse in a western ec, you can use their western tack. Or just use your own tack and a Classical ec.
