Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

shiannes- he was pretty impressive! I wish I had thought of breeding to a Canadian before! If anyone else wants a foal from her let me know she should have a few foals left in her!
shiannes; We have a woodstove and often *sweat* in the winter it gets so hot in the house. We burn cherry and locust wood (which is the best in the area). My dad, my brother, and I all cut, split, and stack it in the summer. We have about twelve chords (a lot!) all stacked by the shed. We go through about six a year (which is a lot compared to other houses. We burn constantly.).

Haha, where we are, it doesn't get as cold as most places but when you a native, lived there all your life, and the temps drop lower than normal, you practically freeze eve though people on the other side of the world are dealing with snow storms. Quite funny.

So proud of this one =D

Gave great offspring. My breeding partner has her daughter almost fully bluped, and has all skills bolded.

Here and Now
Can you say comp monster? I'm so happy with the skill set of Here and Now. Worked out FANTASTIC! Now I need a good stally to breed with her and get a foal of the same kind of skills.

I laugh when schools get closed because of an inch of snow and minus 5 temperature! Here we get over 3 feet of snow with -40 temp and still go to school and work!
Anyhoo more on topic, anyone have a stalky with Paso in him?
By Retired breeder, 31st January 2012 02:58:35
Stalky Blue? Do you mean Standy?
By Retired breeder, 31st January 2012 02:58:38

Twi-Totally know how you feel!
By Retired breeder, 31st January 2012 03:17:18
Same here!!!

Well Im off. As Twi knows, homework before BLUPing!
wolf what horse of yours is a comp monster?

I know I'm working on Arctic to get him to status of comp monster.

Arctic

Once I get about 300 more wins on him he will be a comp monster.

Right now he is still just a trainee.

I typically consider a comp monster a horse with 1000+ wins either in one event or multiple events that has been fully trained.

horses that have a zillion comps in a skill that hasn't been trained are just poorly trained horses. I don't find any satisfaction or pride in going up against a bunch of bluppers or poorly trained horses then saying I have a comp monster cause I got wins that way.

Hi, just dropping by... So what's up?
By Retired breeder, 31st January 2012 04:18:29
So for the next hour I think I'm going to be blanketing comps with Scientific. I want her to fit Xellos' definition of a comp monster. default smiley (lol)

While I'm doing that I hope some of my trades get accepted. Tears would be really nice right now so I can breed my Fjord.
By Retired breeder, 31st January 2012 04:21:01
Haha I totally agree with you Blue! It makes me laugh so hard when I hear that there's a state of emergency declared when some place gets like 2 feet of snow. It's so sad lol.
I have a hano/paint cross...

...Does anyone have a showjumping monster stallion that I may be able to breed her to in the future?

I came back because I found interest in crossbreeding again. :]

I'm just so happy with ReignofAntaios! He made it to 2028.62 skills at 25. And his GA is now retired so it's even better.

Whoa, I have 90 comps waiting to run for Scientific. If I can get in 90 a day I might be able to get her 1000 wins by this time next week.
Yessss!!! Foals have worked outtt! Aiming for shettie XC here, then probably will cross it to its mother (that sounds horrible!!!) to get a psh better in jump, and still good in xc default smiley :)

Anyone want a mild EC booster for their EC? One of my lower end dressage horses fell out of mine and I'm not to keen on letting him back in. His dressage is 531.57%.

Should replace him with a much better EC booster but I'm more interested in hoarding my passes, >____>
I would, Fifth.
