Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

[url=http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=20707403]Poetry In Motion is a mare I am very proud of. Lower GP than expected but still good. And 195 IBS??? My best ever! [url/]

By Retired breeder, 28th November 2011 04:53:44
nordauisharris… That doesn't really belong here.

*Nice* cross, twilight -- I like the skillset! Nice GP to start with, too~.
Well I guess if people are having issues about me posting things in here. I guess I just won't for a while. I don't want people getting upset and thinking the wrong things.

So I wish you all well with your cross's and if people need to get hold of me you can PM me and certain people know how to get hold of me other ways.

Good luck with all your cross's.

and good luck with any other projects you might have in the works.

@twilightaddict don't take this negatively but 195 IBS is really low for a 61* horse, espeically one with that skill set. She's gonna be at a disadvantage in comps, so unless you're real patient with her you're gonna lose a lot of time BLUPping/skilling her. I'd suggest you finish BLUPping her dam and then rebreeding again to get a horse with better IBS. It'll be worth it in the long run. Trust me; I'm having a heckuva time trying to win comps with my pathetic herd of 0 IBS Trake Unis.

I've bred a few horses with 0 ibs for my most recent project, and really haven't had that much issue getting wins on the ones I am working. You just have to be more vigilant in your training (not exactly the word, but higher ibs definitely gives you a little more play in getting wins).
By Retired breeder, 28th November 2011 07:47:30
Well Unis aren't a part of this topic anyway, but the few I have racing really don't know how to win. Wish that Wandering Horses promo didn't include that bit about Unis, because I really did want to take my time BLUPping my two foundies.

Well I'm bored so I guess I'll age up my Fry/Lusi mare and foal those twins, lol.
Xellossnut, no, don't. I will. I'm the one that needs to leave here.

Cya everyone. Not that anyone cares. :L

And here's one of my twin boys. Gonna lock in the percentages at 87.5 Fry/12.5 Lusi and cross siblings with each other from here on out to entertain myself and boost my EC's prestige/lessons while I BLUP away these curvy eared buttmunches.

What are the best horses to cross breed?
By Retired breeder, 28th November 2011 11:47:20
depends if you want gp, skills, wins ect Targit
By Retired breeder, 28th November 2011 16:51:10
Im impressed. My Don cross surprised me by picking up 19 SJ wins last night while I was sleeping. She has only done pet games, dressage and speed traing and she is on fire. I knew there was a reason I wanted to skill her up.

Oops meant *training.

this horse is probably my best yet (that I bred)

Nice Sparky.

Well, I am very thank full to the lottery at the moment. Was able to get loads of AP's, Turnips and clouds so my new Don (Dream Catcher) is off to a good start. Plus I trade my P. Strokes with people for clouds so that gets me more. I hope she reaches higher than my other three Don crosses on the Ranks.

My new toy
I'm really excited to breed her, but I don't usually do Arab crosses. Suggestions?

(Yes she's purebred. Her skills are low but she has potential as a breeder.)
Could someone gave me an estimate on what this fillies stamina will be?

Patrickrocks, based on the IBS + GP skill of that alone, you're looking at I believe at *least* 440. I don't know about additions (not a skiller, myself), but that's one heck of a filly!

Totally over the moon, myself. Went and blew through all of my aging points, ended up losing my Irish mare after this foal -- that's okay, though, I got a *beautiful* set of purebreds for the last foals -- and *this* filly. Extremely excited for this foal.

Fool's Gold DWS, PSH x IH filly.

What do you guys think?
I'm so excited!(: One of my crosses is a Gypsy Vanner and is in 3rd place for best Gypsy Vanners in the Galloping rankings default smiley :d
I can't wait to breed her! default smiley :p

I have just recently started to cross breed. I'm not trying to advertise a sale or anything. Just wanted to let you know that I am selling this little Lusitano cross filly.
