The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Forest Queen- it happened at 1 year 4 months, but managed to play the scheduled hours then. I knew that he would wake up at 1 year 6 with low energy and morale, worked him by the schedule regardless, 'cause he had a rabbit in his stall and now the first Xanthos you stroke gives extra 10 energy points. Well, because of that extra carrot I forgot that there would only be 45 minutes left instead of one hour, so there he was, with enough energy but because it was 23:15 I could not do that hour of games.

I barrel race my foundie mustang uni - she got most of her wins that way and now earns a bit from the comps between breedings. I found it so strange that she can see comps with Xanthos in them! I only do breed reserved comps, though.

Congrats on the wins by the way, I saw Daylight in some comps and threw in a filler default smiley ;)

And congrats on the Mustang babies Inner Chorus, their GP is really nice.
I like the new nickname (Miz Queen default smiley (lol)). I'm sorry to hear about the games nonetheless, always sad when they don't come through the way you want them too default smiley :$. Glad to hear it was only one hour, should have been a 1.18 GP gain that way.

IC lovely mustang foals! How much are you selling them for?

Poor Daylight only got 5 wins while I was gone but still over 10 left to run. Presence got 2 wins and is up to 9 now default smiley ^) and I got a random win on my RDH mare I picked up the other day. She is looking good, has all sorts of goodies on her including MA and is fully bolded. Poor thing was prego when I bought her though default smiley xd

Thanks for throwing some fillers in for me default smiley :d

It is about 11:52 am here for me so still morning default smiley :p

There's one left, selling for 3000e - I don't own the stud used and don't breed NIB mustangs, so there's not much reason for me to keep them.
default smiley :-)) I have one I have named SnowSwept and finished games for a spectacular GP. I am very happy with the wonderful tip-off from Inner Chorus. I couldn't find a foundation one, so decided I wanted an NIB mustang stallion for my collection, and he is so much better than those I have been finding!

Yes, well those skills were lower until I bolded her. She only had her top 4 skills bolded so I bolded the rest. I'm happy her skills broke 200......thought they weren't going to for a while default smiley xd

Just entered a bunch of shows for a few of my 'stubborn' late acquisition foundies... hopefully they turn out alright. I've filled one spot with one of my fillers, but of course that leaves lots of room for other possible monsters. If you have any hano fillers and are willing to do a quick peak at show jumping shows, it'd be greatly appreciated. My horses have a # or a H3 after their names.

Forest Queen - its amazing how low Fire's skills are. Possibly she had the P. Stone placed on when she was over 25 and had already lost some? I have one mare who is 50ish that has lower skills and I'm thinking something similar happened to her.
Oh yes she was definitely way old when it was placed on her. My guess would be around 27 years old, possibly more. She had her top 3 skills bolded when I got her so she should have had at least 300 skills when she was 25......now she is at 200 and that is only because I gave her some much needed TLC default smiley xd

If I had any hano fillers I would help out, sadly nothing on my end to do so. I have some donkeys and mustangs to help in random comps but not in breed specific.

Woo! My PSH mare, Barlow Girl finished out her 20 wins today!

I'm still working on my PSH stallions though. They've great gp but were mostly (or all) trained when I bought them so they are being difficult to gain those wins. One of them is so tantalizing close at 95 blup with but a few wins left to get.
Woohoo good job on the mare default smiley ^), good luck with the studs. I know what you mean by so tantalizingly close to that 100 BLUP

There's about 3 unicorn Friesian foundation foals in the private sales. I don't have the passes but thought I'd spread the word in case one of you are interested.
Wow....fire just got a win default smiley :o *claps hands*

I was wondering, can you kill a horse with p stone? Like if you make it have no health or energy? XD I need some cheapy pass horses. I really need CT and PStone for my newfy foundation mare, I don't want to forget by mistake while training her that she's already pretty old.

Adrian has eight wins now, yay! Almost halfway there. Kiva doesn't want to win anymore just yet, she only needs five more to blup.

default smiley :( FQ, I guess it's just arabs being...arabs! I love the breed because they are so much like cats, with all of the same frustrating qualities. I guess they wont win till they feel like it.
By Retired breeder, 29th January 2010 00:39:58
No, you can't kill off a horse that has a P.stone, no matter what.

You're welcome 1PonyLover, I'm glad you were able to get one. default smiley (y)

If anybody has a filler with 14-18 ish Stamina, I really need one for my stallion Nutty. He's been entered in comps for like a week that haven't run yet.....
