It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

Curious about NIB horses? Want to know what a NIB horse is? You've come to the right place!

What is this topic for? NIB enthusiasts to find each other and help one another progress in their respective games.

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

I believe fire is quite low in the skills. She is towards the last page or two of my Arabians tab. They aged her and lost skills before she was immortalized default smiley xd I hate when that happens! It is so hard to fix them up

Hi all, only gonna be on for a little while ,but I threw some of my filler in with Pretty Birdie & one of Rowen's horses. Good Luck I hope you win them.

Yes it was my horse that won the all NIB race, mine was a 2nd gen so he had an advantage!

I don't always remember to check here, but if anyone needs fillers, I usually have about 5 or 6 that can get in some low races or comps, send me a note & let me know the horses name & what type of races its in, I'll see what I can do.
Looking for foundation (parents Gaia and Ouranis) horses in the following breeds:
.
Thoroughbred
Appaloosa
Quarter Horse
Paint Horse
.
Requirements, either gender:
.
1 - 6 months or younger, pre-games, preferably no BM items, NO Water of Youth accepted
.
2 - post games but under 100 BLUP, 351.20 GP, capable of reaching 100 BLUP by 13th birthday
.
3 - 100 BLUP, 351.20 GP, need not have all skills bolded, either under 25 years old or immortal, good health and good skills
.
Prices negotiable depending on horse. If you have any of the above foundations that you are willing to part with please contact me ASAP with names of horses and asking prices. I will then look at horses and either accept price or give you counter offer.
.
These horses are to be part of the NIB Stallion Stable Project. For information check my forum (starting next week, January 25th) as still writing up description of project.
.
Thank you to the breeders who have already provided foundations or other support.

Nope, I couldnt see any of them in races. I'm logging off so my mom can play, I'll have her see if any of her fillers will work. My mom is aml919, she has some good fillers too.
Good night all!

My son just informed me that I had to log on to howrse right away & use all my fillers to help his NIB friends horses win their races. He was very serious about that too. So I have added some of my fillers to races your horses are in, good luck!

I don't even think he noticed, so don't worry about it. He once asked me if there were any other boys that play this game & like real horses, I assured him there are.

About a month ago, I saw WipeOut putting all his foundies in the auctions & almost had heart failure! I made him sell them all to me & his brother instead.

I know what you mean, I'm excited to get started on my higher generations, but still trying to break into the top 500 with my ec, so I'm only doing minimal work with my NIBs right now. And I promised skull that I'd once I got into the top 500, I'd help him, soooooo. Who knows when I'll really get back into NIB full force. But I absolutely LOVE this forum!
