It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Okay, the GP rankings have been updated default smiley :)
Good job and thank you Riven default smiley :) I don't know if you saw my question earlier but do you have an estimated number on how many foundation pairs it would require to try for a greenstarred horse?

Hey, I have to sell a bunch of foals I produced because they are now impossible to prove, so would you recommend removing the affix. The affix on them is only used on my NIB horses.
That is a personal call. If you feel like you need to then go ahead. I only use my Dark Forest affix for NIBs but I have never removed it from my NIBs that have disappeared lines. I know they are NIB so they stay there

Thanks. I was thinking of leaving them, but I was wondering what others did.
Forest Queen - I created a spreadsheet to predict how many foundation and generations it would take to get a greenstar foal. I assumed a gp gain of 4.7 (what I am currently averaging from my foundations). According that spreadsheet I need 65 pairs of foundation horses to get an 8th generation foal with a gp over 380.00. As GP gains increase the foundie pairs needed should decrease.

Thank you, so I probably don't really need to buy anymore foundations as long as I am lucky

Okay I am back from a long day at work. Checked my Competing ponies and I have one only 3 wins away. I need to leave them alone more often.

Wild North --- Yeah most of my motley crew right now is just starting out trot races but hopefully you will be seeing them in other competitions too default smiley ;)

I won a young Foundation Arab Mare last night but then lost a second a couple of hours later. I'm not too good at the whole auction thing lol.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

I entered in a couple of those trot races there Rowen, don't know how either of us fared though as I didn't check up on them lol. I got a mare to 100 BLUP today and bought a 100 BLUP mare that I bolted. His name is Luxury if you would like to take a look at him default smiley ^)

I have soooo many that are only 1-5 wins away default smiley xd Why must it take forever to get the last few default smiley (lol)

FQ ~ Because the ponies love to keep us in suspense. They like to wait until we aren't looking and then they decide to go to the head of the class. default smiley :p

I have to say other than the babies and about 12 other horses most of my in training horses are actually competing now. I even had one win in the trot comps wonder of all wonders.

Your 100 BLUP horse Liberty has the same coat as my horse Dixie Belle. She is the one that I have almost done but I don't have a mate done for her yet so she will still be waiting once she's done unfortunately. The boys are not being as good at the competitions as the girls.

Luxury was a good find. I am going to hide out in the auctions as I get more money and see if I can get some more foundations but I think it is going to take me quite a while to get up to the amount that you have.

You have 60 pairs don't you? I am at about 70 with various mares on the side and I believe except for the auctions running right now that I will back off of them now. aml said that it should be roughly 65 pairs to get to greenstardom so I will leave the rest that pop up for others. Well....for now anyway default smiley :p. I will just focus on the foundations I have waiting for their GAs and for wins and hope I will finally get somewhere. Who knows, this time next year I might have a greenstar NIB default smiley :p

I love Liberty's GA, one of the many reasons I bought that lovely mare default smiley :-)). She cost me a pretty penny, 25k I believe but better than some I have paid for and she was just the way she is right now so not to bad since I don't have to place anything on her ever again default smiley :p

I know what you mean, my boys are doing nada.....no wins in the last couple of days for them but then again I think I only have 2 studs in comps at the moment out of 9 horses lol

Oh, won a 350.8 mare for 5030e in auctions. Bolted and GA'd him. His name is Limitless Time (name of his GA as well). No timer but he is only about 5 so not bad

FQ, Rowen: We actually had a pure NiB trot race today. Unfortunately, none of us won it, but it was nice to see only NiBs in it.

I'm looking forward to coming across Alora!, Clover! and Blazing Glory again sometime!
Hehe I think they are enjoying being in the shows too I can't wait to see what they do once I get them in the Jumping and Cross country competitions. I hope they do well. I try to keep them out of competitions with foundation Arabs since they are first generation horses. So far they have gotten a lot of 2nd and 3rd places but not any wins yet.

Blazing Glory finished bolding her trot today so she prob won't be there anymore but will be elsewhere. She is in poor health so I purposely placed her against the 1st gens of yours as a filler as I knew she wouldn't be doing any winning for herself default smiley (lol)

Annawe which horse did you place against ours default smiley :). Was it skull98 that won? Saw some bids from her against me in the auctions so figure she would be active in comps as well.

I have been doing the same thing putting my 1st gens against each other and it seems to be working because they are getting pretty good wins each day. I am hoping that I might finish up most of them this week *crosses fingers and toes* then I will only need to work on the babies default smiley :)

Thank you for putting Blazing Glory in a as a filler if you need a low level filler in trots or cross country let me know I have a few that might work default smiley ;)

Yes I have been placing as many as I can against one another. Usually I will place horses like this:

Golden
Soaring Skies

Golden
Soaring Skies

Golden
Blazing Glory

Golden
Blazing Glory

Soaring Skies
Blazing Glory

And so on, so they each have a chance to shine against one another instead of placing them against the same horses for all of their comp runnings in case one gets no wins ever and the other always gets them ya know?

Counted my foundies again and I am at 73 matched pairs, 90 mares and this does not include the horses that are not old enough for GAs

I am always in need of fillers default smiley :-))

Here are my main competitors right now:
Eternal
Soaring Skies
Blazing Glory (as in a few days she will be fully healthy again)
fire (she was old when someone immortalized her and has under 200 skills at the moment default smiley xd)
Rainbow_Pegasus
Moon Shine (just bought him)
Dark Purple
Mac &
Pretty Birdie

Wow you are getting more than enough to make it to greenstar NIB's Some of the foundie mares that I bought had fertility wands on them and I didn't realize it so I will have some 1st generation foals to put in the sales once they are done competing.

One of the foundation foals I bought too had a P stone at birth which is super cool. I just realized it today and he's 1 year 2 months lol

Okay if I see them in the comps I will put some of my foundies with no skills against them default smiley :) I have a bunch that are just starting out and definitely not ready to get any wins themselves but they can definitely help out other horses.

I have/had a morgan like that I believe. Bought her at 6 months old for 4000e, grabbed her up when I saw the stone lol.

I am sure some of mine of FWs on them, haven't checked really. Many of them have tears that I placed here and there when I had a ton in stock. I bought a mare today for 15k with a hera and nyx pack on her but she is only 8 years old so a little ways to go lol.

I may start entering the 1st gens (yes trying to train myself to count the way others do while in here but I still personally view them as 2nd gens, this probably will never change) as fillers. The ones I currently own I will probably only do this with and/or sell the younguns I no longer trust to have in my lines. This is basically me starting from scratch default smiley xd

They are in 74-89% cross country right now so probably will be a while before youngsters can reach that skill percentage but I hope to fair well until then anyway default smiley :p
