It's about time the NIB breeders had their own corner of the world default smiley ;)

The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

9 more days to go to see GP!! Woo-hoo! My poor Friesians are feeling neglected right now.

Im going to breed NIB Aussies...YAY lol I already have foundy male and one female!
By Retired breeder, 22nd December 2009 18:54:39
I also picked up a foundie IH colt really cheap. Unfortunately he's already been gamed, and they were not done correctly, so I'll be willing to let him go super cheap for anyone who needs one.

I am just getting into breeding NIB howrses. Does anybody have any foundation male howrses for sale? Preferably trained and BLUPPed. I can pay 10000e for him.
By Retired breeder, 22nd December 2009 19:31:59
Preferably of the Barb or Irish Hunter breed. I also need a female of the same breed, preferably BLUPPed and trained also.
Just finished with a foundation chinco who I plan on using as a pass horse. The ponies on here do not like me at all, he kept going overweight (and probably still is) :P

Will see how many wins he gets. Hoping for a few considering how many comps he's in.

And now back to my main breeding program. I have 70 foals still to be gamed....

I got a Foundation Mustang how much would that be worth to you lot default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 23rd December 2009 01:30:43
riverdoe: that's why I'm not doing them default smiley xd

I used to do some Chinco breeding, and that always drove me crazy!
LoloJean: I used to breed Australian pony unicorns and BLUPping them was an absolute nightmare. Every single one used to colic and I could never get them trained on target. It's part of the reason I am now sticking to horses, unless I need passes default smiley (lol)

I gamed a shetland pony on Caballow, and it colicked twice on me and almost died halfway through games. Very much not touching them again.

I mean no offense to anyone who breeds ponies on this game, and if anyone does have a good training program for ponies, especially when dealing with how much to feed them, then I would really, really like to hear about it.

Anyway, Foundie Chinco now has 12 wins. I wish I could fully bold him but he's now almost 24 years old, but I will be very happy if I could get him BLUPped. He had been really badly trained when I bought him with nothing bolded and no wins at 16 years old. He hadn't even had any rides done at all.

Oh well, will check back in the morning and I am hoping that he will have more wins then.

On average with my ponies they get the usual groom, salt, and water then a lesson .. after the first lesson I give them 13lbs hay and 88 ounces of feed then I proceed to game/train until they are as close to zero as possible then I stroke and give a turnip.. almost forgot I make use of my carrots to get in as much training as possible in a day. The feed my horses need varies from 79ounces to 96 ounces once lessons are started. The 88 ounces is a good medium. The horses do not go over or underweight usually.
Anywho though... I am debating on something and was wondering if you guys could help me out.. I am trying to decide on whether or not to age a few horses out ( they have arms) or to try and sell them for a pass each. All of them are at 100 BLUP and are NIB connies. I have done all the breeding I want for myself from them. Once has a nice GA coat and a couple other BM items. My question is this do you think I could get a pass or two for them?? They are in my 100 BLUP tab names are RoxUrSox, Blue flame, and Notre Dame. I am just not sure what to do. ( If I sell them I will only sell to another NIB breeder as I have used them for my program. ). Advice is welcome. I just know I am needing a few passes atm.

My QH's have been doing awful as far as competitions. Any suggestions?

My hanos are doing...eh, going downhill as far as winning. It's getting discouraging, but at the same time, I'm loving this new challenge.

Once again, I have a bunch of founations in my other horses tab, they have (F) after their names, most are untouched foals, that need good homes! :] PM me if interested.
I have three immortal connies and wondering if anyone want them. Thinking about passes for them though.

Talking of Foundations and NIB horses, I have one for sale if anyone wants to look at her. Her name is Pumpkin and she is perfect for NIB breeding, and has 11 passes and 2 cards of bm items on her. I also have an NIB stallion called Marble.
By Retired breeder, 23rd December 2009 09:52:20
I still have to wait one more day to get into private sales default smiley :@ But when I do, I'll put some connies for sale since I decided to stick just barb nibbing right now. And of course I will be buing some barbs after selling others. So all connie nibbers out there, keep your eyes open. If I have time I'll start advertising tonight. I will not sell all my connies but at least 2 must go right away.

lively: I'd go for the pass, personally. I can always get cash some other way, but passes are harder to come by, unless you really need the cash.
By Retired breeder, 23rd December 2009 13:36:09
Hey all,
Does anyone know who has the 357+ mustang that is list as the highest GP?
By Retired breeder, 23rd December 2009 13:39:09
Thanks for the answer lolo.. I actually have 4 fully blupped that I am going to try and get a pass or two from. I figure since all the hard stuff is done and most of them have Morpheus arms then they should be worth a pass or two.
O.O I just checked that foundation Chinco pony I was BLUPping last night....

Pony Esonian Foundie

I hope that link works. But he now has 100BLUP and he got all his wins! I know he's not fully bolded but he's now 24 and there's no way I can get him to that. I am incredibly surprised by this and if any NIB Chinco pony breeder would like a covering, PM me and let me know.

Now back to my Morgans....

Oh, I forgot!

MA horses usually sell for at least 500 and 1 pass. I've had a few that have done so in the past. I don't know if you'll be able to get more for them, but you'll at least get 1 pass.

I am confused...
How can you breed horses with Ouranous and Gaia for parents?
Surely the foals will have the horses as parents???
I am very confused, so if you can explain it to me, please PM me
livelyblueeyes - be careful if you sell your older horses, as if the person you sell them to deletes their game they can disappear. I know it was mentioned that if you are the breeder of the horses they don't, but looking through my production I noticed many of my long sold foals have disappeared. Also, even if they do stick around on a Retired Breeder's account (which they sometimes do for long periods of time) Howrse does a database clean up like twice a year which flushes out the horses of retired breeders, making new disappeared horses. So just be mindful of this if you do decide to sell them.

Yep livelyblueyes, i would be more inclined to age up for the pass, then you know they wont dissapear for as long as you stay on the game default smiley :)
