The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Please read the first post at the top of this page for complete NIB information, as your questions have been answered there default smiley :)
Wow....last night I went through PS and picked about 6 foundations (most with 350.8 GP or better) and most untouched foals.....

Today I have grabbed another 10-12 (4 or 5 untouched foals) default smiley xd

Maybe two have been arabians and all others are breeds I do nothing with default smiley (lol)

I just couldn't pass up deals like 3000e for an untouched foal or 2500e for an untouched for that was immortaldefault smiley :o

If someone could give me tips on how to keep track of the gen tree of my horses I would appreciate it a lot.

I need to get organized before I continue on breeding, and I'm finding it very hard.

Thank you
xochitlbarney - I, and several other players, use excel spreadsheets. I'm sure everyone uses them differently, but it is a big help to me. pm me if you want more details. Look at some of the old posts in this forum too, some players were going to put screen prints of their spreadsheets in someones forum or on Photobucket (I think). That may help too. Some players are using Genealogy programs too.

Hi there I was curious if anyone might have a 3rd generation NIB connie stally that is completely unrelated to my mare http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=7888121 . ( She is my first 3g horse)
By Retired breeder, 22nd December 2009 04:23:47
Forest Queen, I did the SAME thing. I have bunch of Foundation Marwarys, Russian Dons, Barbs, and Brumbies, most are untouched foals. I don't deal with them, so if anyone would like them, they're all in my other horses tab, they'll have (F) after their name. Just PM me, I'd be willing to let most of them go at very reasonable prices, without passes. default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 22nd December 2009 04:31:06
Ahh my second generation colt is 362.4 - less than 2.6 shy of the top GP hano! So close lol.
kaliko I have several connies in my connie tab default smiley ;). They are up for lively but she has stated that she won't be able to pay passes after all.

I am willing to take equus and such offers for any of them

(I am just lazy and haven't removed them from reserved sales default smiley :p)

I believe one of them is a 351+ GP mare default smiley *-)

Most are Marwari foals though I did pick up a RDH or two and one or two purebred spanish horses

There's a couple of foundie hackney foals in PS at the mo - 3500 each though is too much when I don't breed them...default smiley :(
By Retired breeder, 22nd December 2009 12:09:32
I just picked up an untouched foundation Quarter Pony...and it's a palomino - so awesome! Only cost me 15,000e. I don't breed these but I like having foundies of rare colours, especially for limited edition breeds.
i've got a NIB arabian (1st horse in my R&R artisan tab)
didn't even realise it until now haha, might have to sell it

Hey Inner thanks for buying my foundie IH foal, Pacerdefault smiley ;)
By Retired breeder, 22nd December 2009 12:42:01
No problem - bit of an impulse buy but I like the colour and it's nice to have an assortment of foundies around! I'll get him BLUPed eventually so he can offer covers.
I need a foundation Newfoundland pony- a colt, NO BOLT USED, ungamed.

Paying lots of money! (10,000e!)

Contact me if you have one, or know of any good newfoundland NIB breeders.
