I have a Marwari x Arabian stallion with 7249GP that's ready to breed.
My pretty boy, Alduin default smiley (7)

Also looking for a good cross I can breed my Marwari x QH x TB mare too; Enchantress, as well as my 8743 Selle x Van mare, Ms No Name.

High GP's preferred, but i'll look at any breed that would cross well with them.
I can look around Cerb, but if you have an idea of what you're looking for, that'd be easier for me default smiley xd

*is impatient, has a .. umh.. Paso/Crio? due in a few days*

I know everyone has their own opinions about crosses, but is there any that do pretty good on their own in Classical competitions? I'm looking to get into a few different crosses, but I don't know where to start
By Retired breeder, 27th June 2017 00:46:39

I love speed crosses. Especially TB x QH. I have a couple TB x Arabian's as well. They do well in gallop races and cross country. I can list a few of my crosses below I've done default smiley ;)

TB x QH
Selle x Vanner
TB x QH x Marwari

I have a tooooon of foals in a tab if you want to look, i can sell for the right price. All cross breds.

I usually take two different approaches to breeding a cross. The first being a target trained horse, one that is good in secondary skills needed, and low in the main skill needed so you'll see lower difficulty comps. Speed and dressage are secondary skills needed for trot, gallop and show jumping comps.

The second approach being to pick a competition and focus on breeding a cross with the highest skills needed for that competition. If you want a show jumping horse, a KWPNxSelle works great because you're getting the high dressage from the KWPN, and the high jump from a Selle and they are both good in speed as well.

For classical, I like Gypsy Vanner dominants that are great at speed because a purebred Gypsy has awful speed, and a cross should do well in breed only gallop, trot and show jumping comps. I bred this 4-way Gypsy last year and he really crushed breed only comps because of his speed genetics

Speed/Jump crosses did well for me. Specifically, Paint or Appy dominant Selle crosses. They did well in the rankings too. I have one of the Paint/Selle I did. Name I can't remember but he has one of the old Paint coats (Vintage). Located under the 'Other Horses' tab

I also bred a Shagya/QH that did really well in Gallop(?). I still have her as well. Winter Underground is her name, also under the 'Others' tab. Look for the Vintage Shagya.

Hi there, I've been searching through this topic many times, but I've never found any tip for good gallop/reining comps cross, so I'd like to ask you, if anyone has experience with this kind of mixed horses.

On this version I'd like to try to make great marwari winner, I have seen few combinations with this breed so I decided for this one.

Do you have some tips which breeds would be good to mix together? I was thinking...appaloosa, paint, TB or quarter maybe, but I'm new to crossbreeding so I'm not sure how to do this, which tactics are the best, if I should start making speed higher, or give attention only to gallop, or how to lower dressage...but I'd like to learn this method, because I want also to free myself from disregarding those not pure ones default smiley :)

I tried to mix TB+marwari, and now I have this mare:

https://www.howrse.com/elevage/chevaux/cheval?id=52803439

I kinda like her stats, but that's maybe just because she is mine, so I'd like to know your opinions on her, or maybe some ideas what to do with her next and what kind of breed should be next stallion default smiley :)

I would be also glad for any type of help with my goal, don't worry I will try on my own, but some ideas and tips where to start and which breed should I choose for her foal would be really great, just send me a message please default smiley :)

Thank you all
Lusill

Just bred this little guy recently. He doesn't have terribly good skills, but I do have high hopes!
