As of update tonight, Dead But Breathing will be #1 overall, #42 stamina, #1 speed, #4 dressage, #24 gallop, and #12 trot Trake!
Skill set turned out very interesting on that one.

Yeah. I'm debating doing another in the future maybe. Thinking Trake/Gypsy/Selle/Appy, maybe.

I'd do Teke instead of Appy if you can vet Vampiris to give you a cover. You'd get just as much Stamina with higher speed.

I'm looking at higher GP, though, to aim for the elite board. I have to see if I can get the Reckless Trake team to breed me a Gypsy/Trake before I even worry about all that, however.
Enya just won me my first two rosettes in Show Jumping! Actually my first two ever. I bred this little girl from her but I think I might stick with Selle/Crio crosses, as they seem to do well for me. I'm also thinking about bolting Enya and offering covers with her. Would that be a good idea?

Hey guys, not posted for months! Thought this would be a bit of fun to share.
For the past few days I got back to work on my equal skills/GP project as fun.
Just had the best one yet! default smiley (l)

Now run out of APs, so until I have enough to buy some more I can just gaze at her default smiley (lol)

Does anybody have a pure Russian don I could have a cover from?? The top teams aren't getting back to me and the highest in covers is about 3660.

Usually bolting to offer covers isn't worth it. You can sell a bolt and get more equus than you would from covers. Unless your horse is the best available for its breed, or you want to use it as the sire for a personal project, just sell foals instead of covers.

So this is kind of an odd request but does anyone here have a Friesian/Appy cross? What is the skill set for those?

Just bred BlackedOutBlur as my first Friesian XC horse. If he comps nicely I may have to start a line of them as I like default smiley ^)

I don't have one unfortunately, but I did some math off of the breed pages and concluded if you crossed a friesian and Appy of equal GP your skill order would be (best to worst) Dressage, Gallop, Speed, Stamina, Trot, Jump. If you used a higher GP friesian Dressage, Trot, and Stamina would increase or if you used a higher GP Appy Speed, Gallop, and Dressage would increase.

That's okay, thanks for the info though! I was just looking at some real life crossbreeds, and came across the Friesian x Appy and thought it looked beautiful! So I was curious about the Howrse version default smiley (lol)

Hey everyone! Well ya'll may not remember me. I dabbled in Crossbreeding before my break a couple of years ago. Now I am back and there are a lot more breeds to work with so I am sort of lost in where I want to go with my Crossbreeding. lol

I am waiting on wins from a high GP Gypsy mare then she will be ready to breed. I was thinking of crossing her with a selle or maybe a KWPN. Or since it seems like the Shetlands are always overlooked I thought about going that route and trying for a nice Shetland cross (I have a soft spot for Shetlands). I could start about 15 different projects right now lol.

So does anyone want to show off their Gypsy Crosses? Especially if they are crossed with some of the less "popular" breeds. I was thinking something along the lines of breeding her with a Speed/Dressage/Jumping breed.

Her training makes it kind of tricky, but with the stamina potential you could finish off stamina and gallop training then go for barrel wins. Beach down speed if you have to to try to see lower difficulty. You can also finish of dressage and then go for reining or pleasure comps, though she won't see the lower level ones. I haven't worked with Icelandics so I don't know how many breed only comps there are for them.

Welcome back!
I've had great luck with high speed Gypsy crosses in breed only classical comps since the breed is terrible in speed.
I did breed this GypsyxSelle. It's outdated in GP but it did awesome in comps.
Timberwolf won like crazy for me as well since he had such high speed.

Thanks Legacy Ann and Khaotic Rain! I really like the Selle/Gypsy. I've been running numbers all evening and now I think my brain is mush lol. I may wake up tomorrow and wonder what in the world I was doing. I'm going to try to get ahold of a few people, hopefully they get back to me and I can put my plan into place. But for now I guess it is a waiting game. Thank you again!

While I'm waiting for my cover, I bred a new little foalie. It's a wari/walker and her skills are pretty nice. I'll skill her after my project right now. She's in my USA farm, I'd link her but I'm on my phone. default smiley ;)
