A couple friends and I are crossing PSH and Arabians. It's been working well so far, they excel in most things (purely on genetic stats, trot is lowest) and I think it'll be a great comp cross. We've got a breeding group, El Sindicato, and we're considering new members.

Show jumping probably....I would do something to increase speed or dressage. Probably either cross a hano with a paint horse or irish hunter...your choice. default smiley ;)

Yeah, hano and Ih sounds like a good combo. Friesian dressage is good too, but you don't want to dilute the jumping stat too much

Yeah, it is a 1% coat, and thanks =). Although he is a Hera pack colt too, lol, so I got to choose.

lol! Yeah, I did that with my 75% / 25% PSH / Arab twins for the flaxen liver chestnut coat, it's my favorite!

Alright guys I am thinking of doing a shetland/hano with shetland dominant for insane jumping skills and I am thinking of an Appaloosa/Mustang/Paint horse for a barrel racer with the Mustang or Appaloosa being dominant. I am really looking for a great mix for show jumping or barrel racing specifically if someone can help me out? default smiley :)

It's definitely mine. Now if only we could have Norikers, they're notorious for the flaxen liver chestnut (or flaxen chocolate chestnut... that sounds like some sort of weird dessertdefault smiley :p)

For jumping, Hano and Sheltie is great, maybe add some ih for extra dressage stats. I'm not really the barrel racing type, but I'd leave out Mustangs from the mix

that hano, ih and arab foal i just bred is a chestnut colt. i was hoping it would be a filly and flaxen haha but that is okay.
