Do you think quarter pony/morgan crosses would be a good idea? I've tried one or two of them, but the mare was a 0gp mare, so I don't think the foals were too good of an example...

Arabs x IH
Arabs x Paints
Arabs x Standies
My BP Shinon has gotten good results from crossing a 24* Arab to a 25* Paint.
A 24* Paint foal will be a good comp horse when trained default smiley :p

With your mare beach horses i suggest finish doing short rides then hit low % trot, gallop and SJ comps.
Make sure Dressage and speed are at their highest ^_^default smiley (y)
