Clear matte or glossy finish looks great and helps the paint to stay on. Also make it look more realistic.

Retired breeder wrote:

If you can, use matte, then put gloss (clear nail polish would work for this) on the eyes, maybe the hooves, if you are really adventurous try the mane and tail!

Thank You guys! I the clear fingernail polish is a good idea.default smiley :) To bad I just through mine out.default smiley :(

No! You never throw nail polish away unless it's multiple years old and doesn't stay on for more than five minutes! default smiley (lol) We had a bottle like that once. Pretty pink color, but it never really hardened.

I need to get a clear nail polish. My sisters have some but there's no way the one would let me use hers for "plastic horses", and the other wouldn't let me use it anyways, because she paints her nails SO often, like five times a year or less!

Anyways..default smiley (lol) Pengy may I see the new things?!

Ok who else here has an Andalusian stallion? If you do, would you mind posting a picture of the less-hairy side of his neck? Mine has REALLY bad painting on that side and I wanted to see if that was a normal thing for the model, like the horrible overspray on the Dartmoor mare. Thanks guys!

Okay! I will try! On the STS schleich forum, go to schleich 2016! Topic.
The pictures in there don't work for me

Oh, sorry! Well, I decided to switch around my barn to a breeding place, so from now on, buying mares and foal is my goal, and people who don't ride since I won't use them.
By Retired breeder, 17th September 2015 17:12:11
My barn has a sport horse breeding program and a eventing training facility.

Cool! I wish schleich would make one in jumping position other then the gift sets.
By Retired breeder, 17th September 2015 17:22:08
I know right?
The old grey Camaruge stallion, the old Mustang stallion and the old Morgan stallion all look like they are jumping.

Ya, but the old grey camerague stallion I've never heard of, pic?
By Retired breeder, 17th September 2015 19:42:04
I'm posting about my schleich in my forum.
By Retired breeder, 17th September 2015 19:57:16
Cool! I'll check it out!

I couldn't find any pics of an old camargue stallion. I found the Morgan, who's quite similar to the black rearing mustang but more jumping-like, and the black mustang, and the grey rearing mustang.

Ya, same here. Vio, could you make your forum public?
By Retired breeder, 17th September 2015 20:57:55
Just made it public.
By Retired breeder, 17th September 2015 21:04:14

Mine started leaking and then hardened. It was nine years old anyway.
By the way tryed painting one of my schleich horses. The acrylic paint worked great. Now I have a grullo Shetland pony mare with four white socks. I even painted her hooves with some shiny silver paint to make shoes.
