Sorry * I usually shop for Schleich at toy stores. *

My TSC has much better prices than amazon. I got a pony, a mare, and a foal for $11. If I'd gotten those off amazon, it probably would've been like $18 or more...

I know right?! Granted it was a donkey foal so I think they're a tiny bit cheaper, and the mare was on sale, but still!

My first model horses in my collection are Schleichs. I have a Tenessee Walker and I think the other is a shetland pony. They're both beautiful horses! default smiley :d

Awesome! What does the "Shetland" look like? For the longest time I thought my Dartmoor mare was a Shetland....

Is TSC the best place to get schleich?

What is TSC? I'm in Canada, so I'm assuming it's only in the U.S.

I did to! You may have noticed that on my barn tour.
By Retired breeder, 26th April 2015 21:42:53
Anybody have any good plot ideas?
By Retired breeder, 27th April 2015 02:18:40
Plots...

Lonely/lost/orphaned foal trying to find a herd and fit in

Herds at war

Horse and person on trail ride, get lost

(in the wild or a barn) recovering from a natural disaster (flood, tornado, etc.)

Wild horses, captured, must escape

I can't find halter info anywhere. I can't seem to find it in the rulebook, or if I search directly for it on google, it's annoying, but I haven't even asked my mom about showing yet....

My fav shleich horse is the shire stallion I wish that would make shores on here
By Retired breeder, 27th April 2015 14:03:02

I'm rather interested in bayala right now. Specifically the unicorns. I'm thinking if a can take off a horn or some wings I could have a very different, yet very easy, special custom... I have a couple of questions:

Do all the riders come off of their horses?
Does all the detail puff out from the horse? (Flowers, blankets, etc.)

Also if anybody wants Papo horses Happy hen has quite a few for $3 each right now...

I have few questions, sorry Irene! Thanks you're so awesome default smiley xd

Can I use any brand of horse for halter? Do I need a halter for halter?

Can I use any horse for head study?

Why can't I find the mold class in the rulebook? Am I just missing it?

By Irene Lynne, 22nd April 2015 21:20:16
@ JoHorseLover725....

Question #1-Yes. As long as you enter it in the correct breed and make class.

Question #1A-No. Horse *doesn't* have to wear a halter for halter classes. The only time you would need a halter & lead is if you would show in the *presentation or showmanship* classes. And the halter *must* be correct for that particular breed.

Question #2-Yes as long as you enter in the correct class. But *and this is very important to remember*--->IMEHA Rules regarding headstudy photo--->Headstudy classes are open to subject with or without headstall or bridle. Subject shall show head, throat latch and neck only. No chest, shoulder, topline or other body parts shall show within the photo frame. The neck shall stop at the top and bottom of base of the neck and no shoulder muscling or wither hair shall be visible. This ruling is strictly enforced and your entry will not be approved by the Ring Steward if it does not comply.

Question #3-After you log on the IMEHA site...look towards the left hand side of the page. Scroll down and you click where it says Mold Shows and a list will come up.
