i used to collect schleich models! i even got bored of the original ones and started customizing and buying customs of other peopledefault smiley :)
I live in the Netherlands and as far as I know Otten Speelgoed 2.0 in Den Bosch has cheaper schleich than any store that sells schleich in Den Bosch. But I don’t really know anywhere else that sells cheaper than other stores in its city because I usually go to the same places and those places either have no schleich or very limited.

I've been collecting schleich for years now, but nowadays I just collect and make customs and repaints. This is my most recent repaint default smiley :)

There are none of those around me unfortunately lol. But yeah, i go to all the same places too. Thank goodness for Ebay, cause without it my collecting would truly suffer!

Cool! Do you have a specific artist(s) you like? I wouldn't mind looking at/into a few good examples.

On Monday i might be going to a town with a big farm store that usually has all kinds of new Schleich (and Breyer, but i'm not sure if i can financially swing one this go around)...yay! Problem is, i might have most all of the newer ones! Hoping to find one or more that i still need to add to my collection.

The only "newer" one that i have passed on this year when i found it was that danged tarantula...i HATE spiders, so its harder for me to stomach looking at it and handling it. And God forbid i stumble on it all surprised-like!default smiley :odefault smiley (b)default smiley (d)

Wow, those are emojis (or is the proper term emoticons? and is there a difference?) that i very rarely use!default smiley xd

Well my trip didn't go as planned...as we were pulling out i entered the store name into the gps on the phone, and it turns out the store was closed for Labor Day today sigh. Since the Orschelns and stores like that were open, i thought this large, bustling farm supply store would be too. No such luck!default smiley :'( So we went to a different town and messed around. Ended up with a few new Breyer Surprise Unicorn stablemates, but no Schleich. The odds didn't seem much in my favor today in a few different ways, but i love a road trip so despite that, i had a lot of fun!default smiley ^) Still hoping to make a trip to the store that was closed, hopefully some time this month, for my birthday!default smiley *-)

I don't really expect any either, unless i buy it myself. Which isn't looking good right now since my car decided to mess up tonight. As in, it wouldn't start, but its not the battery. My friend owned it before me and he said he used to have issues with the starter, but thought it was fixed. We think it might be that issue again. Its been years since then, and its worked great for me up until tonight. Its only a six year old Honda too! Thankfully i have a bit of money set aside for the car, so Schleich is still a possibility, but this still sucks ha ha.

That's great about the computer! How exciting!default smiley (7)

Happy birthday to you too then!default smiley <:o) Anyone else born this time of year?

As far as the car goes, we actually have determined that we think it is the battery after all! I had ruled that out in my mind because my headlights, brake lights, dash lights, and radio would come on, but the engine wouldn't start. I thought that meant the battery was fine. Turns out it had just a little juice left, just enough to allow those things to function, but not enough to turn the motor. I know next to nothing about cars ha ha. Anyway, my friend came and looked at it today. He jumped it, got it to run to his shop. He found the battery terminals had enough corrosion it would cause the issue, so he worked on that. But when he went to leave there, it wouldn't start again. He had to put it on the charger for a few hours, and he let me take his car to go to work, as we was working at his shop this afternoon anyway. So after work i drove his car back to his shop, and we took my car off the charger. It started up, but the battery tester says its on the weak side. I'm really hoping it will start again in the morning ugh lol. My friend said we will probably be buying a new battery before too long. Its a pain, but its better than replacing the starter, or engine, or anything like that! Plus, hopefully it won't cost the full amount because he says the battery is still under warranty.default smiley ^)

Oh yeah, to answer your concern, no smoke came from the steering wheel or anywhere else thankfully!default smiley :p

Oh my i hope it never comes to that lol! It was dead again this morning so tonight i am sporting a brand new battery. They tested it and said yep its bad! The new battery cost like $120-$125 but thankfully since the old one was only three years old it was under warranty still so they took a little over $40 off and i got it for about $85. I'll take this cheaper and much easier fix over a bad starter or whatever any day ha ha.default smiley (b)

It ain't much but I just scored a 1997 Breyer coloring and activity book for 50 cents at a garage sale lol. I flipped through it and didnt seen anything drawn or colored on and it's in amazing condition!

When I got home I looked more into the Breyer oloring and activity book and found a few pages that were colored or drawn on after all but they are actually pretty nicely done so the one or two little girls whose cute handwriting and names I found treated it very well! Most pages are not colored and there are no tears or stains...and this is from 1997, when I would have turned 10 years old, and had no idea what Breyer was! The only thing that time has done is turn the pages a little yellow. It ain't much, I know, but I'm happy with my little find!default smiley ^)

Today (Saturday) I made it to the store i tried to go to before! Yay! I have most of the newer Schleichs so they didn't have any i don't already have (although they have quite a few!) but i did manage to get two new large Breyers! They were even on clearance! My friend got them for me for my birthday! Oh by the way, happy birthday wild horse stables, although its after midnight here, and likely where you are, so technically it was yesterday lol.
