Randomly found this bad boy in a vintage flea market today, and in surprisingly good condition too. He's a 2008 Red Roan Quarter Horse Stallion, I love the subtle striping on his hooves.

Does anyone else have him, and know if he's retired?

I have around 220 schleich now. I have the three generations of the pinto family. I have rare horses like the 2015 advent calendar Andalusian mare or the old 1997 camargue mare. I also used them for photography. I have very little duplicates and a lot of completed families. I do have some exclusives as well. How many do you guys have?

Sounds like you have quite the collection going! Wonderful! I have somewhere in the area of around 150 horses, with duplicates mixed in here or there...maybe a few more since thats where i was last time i counted. I also have hundreds of other schleich figurines, like wildlife and farmlife, that ive never actually counted. i have a small handul of exclusives. Ive never had the advent calendar though.default smiley ^)

I have many, many Schleich. Around 300 I think. I also have about 130 retired horses/cows.

Not sure how many I have but it is at least one hundred (counting the wild life, and other farm animals besides horses).

I have been collecting them since I was around 4 or 5, I am now in my twenties so most of my collection is from 1999-2011 as I slowed my collecting once I hit my teens.
I was around the age of 10 when I started collecting and I have a lot of older models because I like those more and I am not collecting as much any more.

Hey all! I have quite a few schleich horses from when I was a kid, but I had no idea collecting was a thing! I stopped buying them a couple of years ago because I don't have anywhere to put them, haha. Poor things are in shoeboxes until I find a shelving until I can display them in.

What do you all do with your collections? I've always felt a bit guilty about having so many and not doing anything with them.

Hi! Mine just sit on cramped shelving, but it has never made me feel guilty or stop adding more ha ha! i would hate to have to put them all away so that i couldnt see them, or get them scuffed up.

I have little siblings that like to play with mine sometimes, and since I like to wright a lot, I make stories about my models. But they mostly just sit on the shelf collecting dust. default smiley 8-)
I only found out collecting them was a thing only a couple of years ago. Seems like a long time, but I'd played with them for years. Over the years, I've had so many. As you might expect with kids, a lot ended up with missing limbs or being scribbled all over. All of ours are so faded and used because I'd always play with them in the bath. We've still got our old collection in toy boxes and my little sisters love them, but I've got one that I keep in my room and it's the prettiest thing ever.

I am a Schleich collector and it's great to find other collectors on here! I have been collecting for almost a year and I am up to 77 now and still going default smiley :d I also take realistic photos of them as well with my canon camera. I would have to say my favorite one so far in my collection is my Alligator that I got a few days ago from Tractor Supply with their 40% off toys sale.

I can't remember how to post photos on here but I started an instagram account a couple weeks ago for my Schleich to post realistic photos. I ordered a huge box yesterday of a bunch of new Schleich horses and stuff and I am so excited for it to come today. Also a shout out to Schleich for 1 day free shipping default smiley (y)default smiley (y) It's hard to save money when your mom is actively encouraging you to buy more horses default smiley xd

It's called Big Red, but it's probably hard to find so maybe search for big red schleich??
