Bubble wrap and old newspaper

I like to call bubble wrap "poppies" lol.default smiley :) But yeah, great idea! I should have thought of that since many Schleich come in bubble wrap in the mail. Somehow it didn't even cross my mind.

Got this 2006 retired guy in today:

Hey friends! I have a question for you all, I was looking at etsy, and there's a ton of things you can buy for Breyer horses. Everything from blankets to actual stalls, but when I looked for schleich, there seems to be a much more limited selection. Mostly halters, and felt blankets. So my question is, what kinds of things would you be interested in buying for your schleich horses? Maybe even things you've seen in Breyer scale, but not schleich.

Well about the only thing i can think of that i might like to buy, and i'm not sure this is at all what you're looking for, is something like a wagon or cart for the horse to pull, and i guess the tack items that would go with that. I'm not too interested in buying stuff like bridles, blankets, saddles and what not just to put it on the horse. I'd rather look at the horse's body without the bulk. But i do think a wagon would be cool. Just like i mentioned before, i wish i could afford to get the Schleich Wild West Series Covered Wagon but its just not in my budget lol. But that's not a homemade thing, or there aren't any like that that i am aware of.

I got in a new Schleich todaydefault smiley :d Its the 2005 Buffalo (Bison) Calf! i think he may be somewhat of a rare find because i didn't even know there was a buffalo calf (I have the 05 and 14 adult models), but when it came up as a suggested item, i did an Ebay search to see what deals i could find on it, and lots of African Buffalo calves came up, which i already have, but the American Buffalo calf was the only one of its kind i could find. It was a good price, so i snatched it up. And when it came today, its like i bought it new cause its in perfect condition with a tag also in perfect condition, which is amazing considering its a 14 year old toy! He's even cuter in person that he is in the picturedefault smiley :) Very happy over here.

So, I have a question. How expensive are the Schleich from eBay? I was thinking about checking it out, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it

Hey! It's worth checking it out! The prices vary, depending on who the seller is. If it's a power seller, or like an EBay store, then prices should be similar to what Schleich sells them for. If it's an individual, it may be more or less. Things that factor into price include location (shipping in country or internationally), whether it's new or preowned, more than one piece (multiple pieces being sold together are often called a "lot"), and whether it's new or retired/not retired.

Word of caution, always check shipping costs (obviously for ebay and any other site). International shipping can cost a lot, often more than the item itself. That said, I sometimes find great deals that include free international shipping. So it's a good idea to check ebay often to see what deals have come up. Also, NEVER hit the Buy It Now button unless you are prepared and certain you want to buy the item, because at that point you have committed to buy. I wasn't thinking once as I was looking through deals, and I meant to just look at the schleich animal, but accidentally or somehow hit that button and was committed to buy. It was an international seller so I had to pay a lot more than I wanted to for the piece, or they would have opened an unpaid item case against me (within a couple of days of not paying) which could have meant loss of buying privileges for my account. Now, I did realize my mistake right away, and immediately messaged the seller explaining the situation, and asking them to cancel my order. EBay does allow that if you do it quickly and the seller is cooperative. In my case, the seller was not. I wrote them four messages, even translating one into Italian (they were in Italy) and they refused to answer, let alone cancel my order. So I learned that lesson the hard way. EBay is easy to use and can have great deals, but as on any site, use caution and read about the item and look at the pictures and all the deals on the item you searched for and you should do well.

Sorry for my mini novel lol. Good luck!
