It's the collect A half linger mare. I love her because she is extremely typey and I use her as a welsh/tb.

I'm working on making a barn tour but since we don't have Internet at my mom's and that's where my stables is, youtibe uses up all of my data and trying to upload 1 video for an hour and a half will Fran all of my data.

Ok I had a long awsome 9.5 hour day with my best (and horsiest) friend. I found that she has my much-wanted Black Forest mare default smiley xd anyways now I have her traditional light grey proud Arabian mare, her old tinker stallion, and a light chestnut foal. Not sure the breed but I'll look. The trad is for me to make tack on, next time I see my friend I'll give her and the tack I made back, so it's a win-win! The 2 schleichs are old and very scratched and I'm going to try to pastel (probably oil but ok...) or paint the scratches. She also gave me 2 hot glue sticks as I'm running low, and some hardware and things. Plus we made sugar cubes, she let me lead her yearling, we swam in a big pond for a while, we ate subway, played with one of her dogs quite a bit, made a bridle, and other fun stuff!

That's awesome!! My bff is super artsy and loves horses, but for some reason she likes working on her doll house rather than doing model horse stuff. Which I'm surprised at. I even gave her the akhal teke stallion and the dressage set to get her started. She didn't open it till 3days later. I was kinda hurt but, oh well!

She would be awesome at customizing and crafting, and if I became a famous youtube r she could make a lot of money.

Awesome! I'm showing at my county fair from Monday till Friday. And I have shows like every day AND I have to show my calf. In my first dressage show I got first, it was awesome. Yeah in a couple minutes I gotta go get my calf to load up to take to fair.

Hello fellow model horse collectors! I collect mainly Breyers, so I haven't really been in this topic. However, I do have a few Schleich (is that how you spell it?) from when I was younger. I don't know a whole lot about Schleich so I'm curious about these models (that I have). Do you guys think you could tell me a bit about them?

Awesome! Welcome! Schleich started in 1935(I think) with bendable figures, then they moved to smurfs, and other characters in movies. But in 1980, they started their farm life, and in 1985 they started with their horses! The first mare in the picture that you have provided is the tinker mare, she is a stunner andd looks best in dressage, she is not super rare, but then again, her adorable looks par for herself!

The second one you have is the forest elf! I love this guy! He is from the bayala collection, and is also one of the more popular, but original ones, but he is the cutest out of all of the bayala guys! Trust me!

The third one you have is the old and retired pegasus! I love him! And he is the only pegasus I have! He is the rarer of the animals of bayala, since schleich made so many versions of him, this is the original!

The fourth one you have is the white(he's grey, but they call him white) mustang! He has a twin brother who is black and common, but this guy is quite rare actually! A nice sight too!

The last one you have is the original unicorn! This was the first technical schleich horse I ever got! She's not as rare as the pegasus, but still has some money on her! They also did make many different versions of her too, but she still is the original color!

Overall, stunning mini collection! I reccomend keeping them until you can hand them down to a kid who will love them for many years like you did, unless you still love them! Make sure not to sell them to a random seller though, because they may end up in a musty sandbox. You have about a $100 dollar collection right here! If you were to sell them in a lot, do $75 though.

No! Don't! But then again, I can't force you, so go on and do it if you want to. If you sell your collection, tell me which ones your selling! Just joking!( but do if you wish too!

Does the foal look like this?:

If so, it is the holstiener foal!

Okay, if I worked at the schleich factory as the product manager, would anybody join me?
By Retired breeder, 9th August 2015 18:36:03
Wow, I didn't know I had some rarer ones! That's pretty cool. Thank you very much!
By Retired breeder, 9th August 2015 20:33:27
Yeah thanks pengy. I actually figured that out yesterday, but didnt find time to post. I fixed up both the Holstein foal and the Tinker stallion. But look much better, but I messed up the color a tiny bit on the stallion's socks, and oil pasteling is very hard. I wouldn't recommend it! default smiley (lol) I have yet to actually buy chalk pastels though! Anyways the foal does not look anywhere near new, but the tinker looks near it!
By Retired breeder, 9th August 2015 20:36:09
Yay! I made a pretty black western bridle and reins from black ribbon for my friends PAM! I know, not Schleich, but still model horses! She looks pretty nice in it... Except for I haven't made the fishing line "bit" yet. I plan to make a matching, well-decorated black saddle. I may make the seat colored and then make boots and decoration to match, what do you think?
By Retired breeder, 9th August 2015 21:43:08
Sounds adorable! What did you name the foal? I named mine buttermilk!
By Retired breeder, 10th August 2015 00:32:35
hehehedefault smiley (h) I was making a custom and I looked at the bottom of the horse to see the date of it's making halfway through painting and it was from 1995 when I looked it up on ebay, it was selling for 25$.... oopsdefault smiley (8) I also found out I have a foal that's selling for 17$ on ebay. I was like Wow!! Mostly because I'm amazed someone would pay that for a tiny piece of plastic...
