Thinking of making another try at a Schleich movie, could you give me your opinions on if you would watch it or not? (If I had a YouTube channel... default smiley (d))

Search and Hope

The Herd of the Southern Coast's stallion is captured. In order the rescue him the herd must overcome various obstacles and keep on his tracks with the help of two new friends. However, they must travel just along the edge of the territory of the Herd of the Singing Leaves, and Silver is just on the other side. But will they be able to reach him? And, once they find their stallion, will they be able to cross back through the dangerous land of the fierce Herd, as they have now claimed the entire land? The only other passage is along the shore of the ocean, where sharks, rip tides, and whirlpools all threaten them. Their choice may decide their fate.

Ok I now I kinda give it away in the middle but everybody knows there'll be a happy ending at least to that part anyway, and I wanted to include the last part default smiley (lol)

Scratch that, it's going to be a dangerous river, not an ocean.
By Retired breeder, 24th May 2015 12:00:47
I'd watch that. Brought my schleich XC schooling at our campsite.
By Retired breeder, 24th May 2015 16:39:10
Yay thanks! Er. Um. What? Sorry I just can't seem to make sense out of that... You took your Schleich horses to a campsite and you're making them do XC? Is that it? My brain must be tired default smiley (lol)

Ugh! People make these really awesome buildings out Popsicle sticks. I'd like to make one but I have nothing easy to cut with... Although I'd also like to make a Popsicle stick gazebo. Problem is.. What on earth am I going to do with a gazebo?! default smiley (lol)

So I figured out if you take a 2x2 Lego brick and turn it on it's side, you can use it as a jump block thing- you can put poles I the middle or any corner of the bottom. Plus I can have them in my barn colors, teal and orange! Problem is I don't know if skewers are big enough. Coffee stirs would likely be ideal but my family doesn't do coffee. I'm gonna go test some skewers.
Barn Tour soon!

I want all of this schleich stuff but I want a few breyers that supposed to retire this year and I didn't know it. My birthday is in July so maybe I can't get breyer for my birthday and schleich for Christmas?

Ok I've confirmed that for a larger Lego blocks, the skewer will fall to the bottom corner when placed in a corner but do well in the middle round part. The bumps on top also fit a skewer in between well, ideal for... Lots of stuff. The thinner (1xanything) blocks fit skewers in between the bits in the bottom, good for adjustable jumps. Likewise, technic pieces are good for adjustable jumps as they have holes in them. (The regular blocks with holes in them work the same) if you build 2,stair cases out of regular blocks and put a skewer across in each corner, it makes a wonderful oxer. It's possible to use technic pieces or pieces with holes to make crossrails, but much easier if you have 2 side by side on each end- one for each pole so they don't have to cross each other that close. I'm off to sand skewer pieces now. Then the fun part- painting them! Maybe I'll get the old piece of floral foam to stick them in while on half dries... Hmmmm

You can cut Popsicle sticks with scissors.

Ohh sorry. I took my horses to the campsite and pretended to XC school them. Anyway, when y'all who have you tubes...(default smiley (d)mom!) When you do a barn tour do you keep the actual breed of the horse? I'm trying to make my barn really realistic, so I make up breeds for the horses. Cause seriously, who has a akhal teak stallion in a normal barn? I make the stallions geldings unless I want a stud to breed my mares.
By Retired breeder, 25th May 2015 00:40:17
I keep my breeds, unless I customize.
I know about the akal teke thing, and the stallion thing. But I'm agreeing with someone's post a long way back, Schleich for me, are more for playing, and breyer more for collecting.
By Retired breeder, 25th May 2015 02:31:09
I keep the breeds. I currently (including my safaris) have a welsh, some Arabs, dartmoors, andalusians, QH, Chincoteague, TWH, gypsy Vanner, maybe a couple more
By Retired breeder, 25th May 2015 02:32:10
Oh I figured out that at least one of my unknown breed foals from safari is an Arab, and the other has the right tail and dished face etc.
I really like the new 2015 Icelandic mare, but i have't gotten her yet, nor the 2015 Knabstruppers, the 2015 Tennessee Walker stallion, or the 2015 Tinkers, but I really want them.

I am in LOOOOOVEEEE with the new TWH stallion but his right front foot seems a little wonky to me..... To long and it sorta bulges at the top but hey, I love the gait he's posed in!
By Retired breeder, 25th May 2015 16:03:25
He's the same as the old one...

OMG yes I love the Icelandic pony and the Knabstrupper mare!!!!! (The 2015 ones). I really want them. I'm hoping next time I go to TSC they have them default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 25th May 2015 16:04:29
I actually used to hate the Knabstrupper mare until I saw her from another angle on YouTube. Then I played with the 360 turnable thing on the Schleich site and found better angles that they should have used originally default smiley (lol)

Schleich topic is getting harder and harder to find next thing we know it going to be on page 2. we can't have that so get this topic back to the top.
By Retired breeder, 26th May 2015 12:24:50
I know right?! Pengy isn't on much, nat is now breyer, AA and fizz seem to be drifting to breyer, and a bunch if other regulars, like KK, Aussie, etc. just don't visit as often. Come back guys! default smiley :(
By Retired breeder, 26th May 2015 12:27:48
I wonder if after we either move it take house off the market, I could get a green trifold. Or a few. Maybe one with trails that I can open and put fake bushes around for a forest, and a plain one for the barn or XC, and maybe another with trails and a stream running through... But that would be hard... I wouldn't want it to be super shallow so id have to like hollow out the top 2 cardboard layers or something
By Retired breeder, 26th May 2015 12:30:48
Oh yeah if we move into this one house, I get to pick what color I want to paint the room (some sort of sky blue) and the bedrooms are all hardwood, so I'd also get to pick a rug (green for grass!) so I can have a very Schleich friendly room! Problem is there's some rugs at Walmart (no green) that are like 4x5 feet for $16 or so, and I found a 4x5 foot green rug on amazon for double that. Plus I think we wanted the 6x8 rugs. Oh well. Trifolds are always there default smiley (lol)
By Retired breeder, 26th May 2015 15:52:29
Nice JoHorseLover725 i like your idea for the room to be "schleich friendly room" default smiley :d every schleich lover needs to come back and whats with people drifting to breyers i makes me think maybe i should go to breyer but i don't like them but i did make 5 dollars today new schleich foal coming home to me.default smiley :d
By Retired breeder, 26th May 2015 16:41:40
I made $10 this weekend. I'd rather catsit a few times and get enough for a breyer though. Just because. Except my mom wouldn't let me... I want to go to TSC so badly...
