Well, the first horse I ever rode not counting pony rides was a little roan Shetland gelding named Pumpkin. He was absolutely adorable, and I rode him at my schoolteachers house. She had four other horses, and I always thought they were huge. Nope. The largest was like 15.2?
The first horse I ever lessoned on at a riding school was a blue roan Shetland gelding named Macaroni. Roni was the sweetest little thing, and I'm sure he's doing awesome in retirement right nowdefault smiley (l)

I believe it was magic. She was so stubborn lol
The first horse I rode alone was named Storm, he was a beautiful bay quarter horse (I think). He was a gentle giant, I was around 6 or 7 when I would get on him and cruise around his owner property.
Lana (his owner) was a long time friend of my mom's and would let me come over and "ride"him. He was kind of like a babysitter really, careful when we walked around the hilly and rocky area.

First actual lesson horse was a mare named Donica. She was a thoroughbred mare deep chestnut in color. She was around 16hh, and one of the most stubborn horses I've rode, and also one of the sweetest. But she taught be how to stick like glue, and how to control where I went and how fast. I learned my flatwork and how to jump on that mare.
Think I was around 8 when I started riding her. But sadly she passed away at 28 or close to that a few years ago.

The first horse I ever rode was a palomino paint named Sunny. I believe she was a AQH. She had blue eyes, and being the little 5-7 year old, I was terrified default smiley xd I had never seen a horse with blue eyes and was only used to ones with brown ones default smiley xd
I rode a chesnut TB- Clydesdale cross named Garfield for my first ride. They were doing an assessment for a 5 year old me on a 17 hand mammoth default smiley xd

I didn't really ride but my parents put me on this old black Shire called King to see what I'd do. I recall having a one-sided conversation with King about how my day was going so far. Didn't go very well.
Hmm. Let me try to remember... Well, it's actually easy to remember. I have never ridden a horse before in my whole life.default smiley :s

I spent about half of my life with horses, I still remember the horses, like Wilson and Camen were Quarter Horses, I think Camen had a little Thoroughbred in him, but I don't knowdefault smiley (lol) But I rode a couple of horses in my life, last time I ever rode a horse was in 2016 and I remember riding one named Toad, but the one I remember the most, the one I rode all the time with my sister, his name is Pencil, but we called him Coco and he was a pony.

Silver! He was a very cheeky 11hh Welshie. I only rode him a few times but will always remember him.
Pirate, he was a bay and white paint horse I was four years old and rode him as part of fine motor skill therapy.

It's okay, you're not alone! I've never even ridden or even met a horse before! I'm sure you'll get the chance to soon. I probably never will.
