[Known Issue] Promotional/Advertisement Videos



HellOw everyone,

You may have noticed that the promotional/advertising videos on the Pass purchase page hasn't been working lately.

The team is aware of this issue and is currently investigating the issue. I'll update this topic as soon as the issue is resolved.

The videos are still available in the Android & iOS Howrse apps.

Now another month has gone by.

I first complained to "contact" about the videos on May 10th, however, several weeks had already gone by.

Now, it's also been two months since we've heard from an Admin. I am very disappointed that this has not been fixed and that there is also no communication. default smiley (n)default smiley (n)default smiley (n)default smiley (n)

yes i was off the game for 8 months came back in august because of no computer. got a new one and logged in and was killing myself trying to not have an ad blocker. ( there was no adblocker) finally used contact us and they said they are aware and will fix it. i have found this forum and watch daily and nothing.


i asked this question to contact us and did not get an answer and i doubt i will get one here but i will ask anyway.

1)when will this be fixed

AND

2) will we be compensated for all the things we are missing out on by not getting to watch the videos. i use this mainly for the coloured tack and now i am not getting any of that. also the other freebies were nice too and sometimes the ads were for something i was not aware of. i actually bought a few things.


is it just that they don't have advertisers anymore because so many players left?

and i DON'T have a mobile device so that does not help me.

I'm sorry for the delay in answering you here. The team is still working to resolve the promotional videos. Unfortunately, it is taking longer than anticipated and there is no estimated time frame of when the videos will be available again.

The only logical reason I can see for this taking so long is you are simply no longer receive any advertisement videos, meaning nothing for anyone to watch?

Maybe just scrap the feature instead of trying to drag this out any longer and focus your resources to areas of the game that really need improving?

Feature works perfectly on mobile, idk about browser version because I have several ad blockers and firewalls running so I'm always watching the promo vids through the app. Three per day, always work.
One of the sole benefits of the app, with autocomps lol! Using both browser and app can maybe help? :]

If they are not fixing it they should just take it of.

My friend joined and tried that out. It did not go well and she just ended up leaving.

Some people myself included have stated we do not have anything mobile so no we can't use that

i use browser only so that is why some of us are so confused and upset.

I came back only recently because of personal problems that prevented me from logging on.

i used contact us because i had been trying to figure out on a new computer how to disable an ad blocker i never installed. finally used contact us and they told me there were aware of the problem and were fixing it. a few months went by and i finally saw this in the game play forum.

it has a date of june 24. 2022, so that was even more time then when i reported which was around halloween. so longer then i was aware of.

now it is almost the new year and still no answer for me about the question i had about the tack which is why i watch the ads, for the tack because sometimes in the objectives you have to use certain tack and if i can not watch the ads to get the tack then i can not complete the objective. and sometimes i have another objective like remove a unicorns horn and you can only replace 1 objective per day.

wish it would get fixed and someone would answer my question about tack i am losing out on that is not my fault.

I didn't see this 1st but asked a player that said to "contact" them.
I did they had me respond over & over tryung to get me tofix "my problem" never telling me they were having a porblem.

I tried the android on my phone & can't even see any ad anything so that was useless for me.
of course I am techy inclined just old( tell me a button to push & I will push it. tell me to go to? & I will have to find out where that is etc-- )

I was off the game for like a year and a half to two years because I was busy with personal stuff and when I cam back a relearned everything I went to the ads and was sad they were not working. I used them all the time I would watch all the ads I could just so I would have the money and the other prizes. They have apparently been working on this for months? I know a lot about coding and fixing bugs in codes and something like this that was working perfectly fine before should not be taking this long to fix it should only take max of 1 or 2 months or 3 or 4 months if they had to remove the entire coding strands for this. but to do that I would not be available on mobile. Also most people that play this game use the web version and even those that have an android use web. Also with how popular IOS are less and less people have androids. The only explanation is that they are sitting around not doing anything about this problem because while we are all complaining about this problem we aren't/can't do anything about it so we all just go about or day and play the game as is. They need to do something about it. It should not take this long.

I wanted to check in with you all and let you know that the team has not forgotten about the advertising videos. Additionally, please know that an update has been implemented on a few of the smaller versions for testing.

As always I will update this topic with any and all information I receive regarding this issue. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation while the team continues to work on this issue.

i don't know when this issue started but you guys (the game) addressed this on

it is now FEBRUARY 15, 2023

in four months it will have been at the least a whole entire YEAR

what is going on please.

you are updating things in the devs corner but nothing in almost a year for this?
