Such an underwhelming event that was hyped up so much, a couple of mashes and a vintage apple, wow ok. Some near on useless divines that we still have to pay for. Seriously Howrse you could have done a lot better than this and given something decent to your players. At least with the star rain you could have made it so all the players received the same gifts, not some get BM items while others get ageing points or mashes.

Such a boring, underwhelming, anti climactic 20th anniversary celebration. The star rain...meh. 20k equus and a mash seems like a bit of a rip off. I mean the UFOs for the star rains are never on an equal playing field. Some get Nyx packs, Hera's packs, ect, while others get the short end of the stick and get mash, equus, and aps. Yippee....


Building up to the "event" seemed more like a desperate cash grab. Players were inundated with overpriced packs over and over again. And of course we can't forget about the ridiculously overpriced, yet fairly useless, pastry divines in reserved sales. Honestly seems like the 20th anniversary event focused more on squeezing as much money as possible from the players than it was a celebration of the players that have kept the game running for so long.


Disappointed in the event overall, sadly. Especially considering there was so much hype leading up to it.

I agree with the rest: It doesn't seem like much of a party. Just another day of playing for me. I collected my Quinci-something pass payout (Woo!) and went about my day.

I'll confess to feeling a bit insulted that I have to complete an event to get the birthday divine. Historically, and across multiple horse game, the fancy rare birthday horse is distributed free to all players. This is how it SHOULD be. That you expect us to jump and crape for it is.... poor form.

One would think for such a momentous occasion, that the celebration would be more than a single day long. My thoughts. 2 out of 5 stars: effort was made, but needs improvement.

I will admit when I first played howrse back in 2010 it was great then my account was deleted for some reason and I made the account I have now in 2013 and was glad to have found the GA coat I had in my original game when you first complete the intro to it. I miss the design of the foals and some of the breeds. I miss the diamonds you could get, the pass horses, the much easier economy where BMI items were only 1 or 3 passes each depending on the item. I miss seeing the fluttershy splint boot in the horse sales. The easy way to get the reindeer divines. I miss the luck items having decent prizes, so you get what you pay for. I even miss the divine horse that showed up when you got it in luck items. Lots of changes. Hope some day howrse team will allow players to voice their opinions and change the game with voting on a few things. Make it more fun than such a pay to play sort of thing.

one thing I remember that I don't see mentioned is storing Equus in wheat bran to keep breeding fees low.

The diamond cards are 50,000 equus and I traded one today and got a Hermes winged staff and got a harmony pack. I kind of wanted a nyx pack. I can get a new petit but I either get last card or trade the diamonds card I have for 50,000 equus. Have gold and bronze jokers but have to see if u get them the next few days.

I was thinking the birthday was coming up later this week. To "win" 2 mashes in my Star Rain for being a loyal player and pass buyer for 14 years is truly disheartening.

Horwse should have been showering all the loyal players with gifts today, not expecting THE PLAYERS to fork out cash to buy more packs or over priced useless Divines.

I am really disappointed by this supposed celebration. The 15th year was much more enjoyable as mentioned by other players.

We truly deserved more than [1] mash in a Star Rain for loyalty. Why not a 20th avatar? Why not a pack of passes for loyalty?

Please, do better. Your players deserve to be pampered for their loyalty for 20 years.

Wow, seriously, how many online games in this style actually make it to 2 decades, yet all that hype for a very lackluster "celebration". It honestly just feels sad and disappointing. 20 years is huge, yet they couldn't even give us a new frame for our avatar to commemorate the players who were here on the 20th anniversary. The star rain didn't even continue to update time...

I personally wasn't expecting anything big, I just really wanted to see some actual communication from the team when players voiced that they were expecting more after the way this was hyped up. More could be on the way but, again, we don't know that as this hasn't been communicated with the community at all. I'm also someone that has been playing for years (will be 17 years in December), and his game helped shape my life and helped me through a lot of hard time, so it's just a bit disappointing to see this.

Joined this game when I was 9 years old waaaay back in 2011. Have never really played competitively or that actively, but I remember begging my mom to buy me passes for a birthday and immediately spending them on GAs haha. I missed the 15th anniversary so was excited to stick around for the 20th....only to get a mash. Wished Howrse would've went all out for the big 2-0, but maybe we'll get something special next year when Howrse is old enough to legally drink (here in the US, at least)

Remember the 15th anniversary clearly (though spent it on an account I no longer have) and this is a joke compared to that. I've been playing for absolute ages on various different servers, I think coming up on 15 years now, and this was a ridiculously underwhelming way to commemorate that.

Is everyone sure that they got 1x Pass Seed and not 25x Pass Seeds? Because I was also confused at first when I got them, as the message from the star rain pretty much suggested that I received only one. But then I looked in the item history and it was actually 25x.

I am a returning player and back in the day people I used to play a lot with quit because howrse wouldnt listen. I quit when the Diamonds were removed from the game. Now here I’m back, having a 20th anniversary with a mash and seeing all these reactions make me sad...

I have been blown away with buy this buy that if you want new divine promo’s it doesnt feel like a celebration at all and it pushes the fun out of it for me personally. You have to remember: people play games for fun or social connection. If a gaming company is this greedy on it’s 20th anniversary its not a good look… there are a lot of players here who I know have spend a lot of time and maybe money in this game. Throwing a star rain with mashes makes you look like you don’t care at all. I genuinely thought it was a joke.. until the day passed by and it wasnt
