That pair offers draft foals. I'm not sure I think that's enough reason to up their price, but that could be their reasoning

For some reason I only got one star rain, but I saw other people here mention getting two. Is it luck based or did I like, miss one by not logging on on the right time? Mildly confused default smiley :$

No, I'm saying Yule Log's price is too much. I think 1,600 is reasonable for yule log.

They appear roughly every 6 hours. If you've only just recently logged in, you've likely missed two of the windows. You should still be able to catch one more, as they end in 6-7 hours.

Im disappointed with how they promised us sooo many things to do. But we have a over priced new divine in 1 pack offer. Some stars every so often.. and reserved sales divines thats arent that valued due to the lame perk it gives. A new divine that gives passes but doesnt allow for giving passes if you have multiple ones. Its so of anticlimactic.

Happpy 20th to Howrse! It's been a long run, I created my first account 13 years ago on the Swedish server after someone recommended it in a horse magazine. Howrse has been with be through elementary school and high school, following me into my first year at Uni as well. Even though my level of activity has varied, I've been playing on the same accounts since the start.

The 15th anniversary felt unique and fun; I loved the candle hunt. Unfortunately I have to agree with that the 20th celebration felt anti climatic. On prepod we were promised lots of celebration but "all" I've gotten are mashes. Being a player of seniority (if I can call myself that) I've seen al ot of changes in the game, some for worse and some for better. I'll always miss the old trophy system and the Swedish forum. "Only" getting star rain, an offer locked behind real money and divines in sales (which pushes towards the pass-offer) feels like the epitome of where Howrse is heading. Nowadays it feels like we're drowning in offers with new divines every other week. It's more quantity than quality which is sad.

It's us players who have kept the game alive for 20 years. I've been here for 13 years, that's more than half of my life. I guess my point is that this years celebration was a bit underwhelming.

Also agreeing with the sentiment that the 20th anniversary so far feels rather lackluster. If this is truly all we are getting, all the hype for this was far overdone compared to what we got. Either way, Oblivion said it best, especially regarding the sheer amount of overpriced real money offers we've been getting lately.

Also, no communication on whether or not this is it. A yes or no would really go a long way here if we were just told whether or not to expect more. Part of the problem is not the fact there's so little, it's the fact this was hyped up for weeks, which has led to disappointment.

I thought the 20th anniversary festivities would have truly been a "give back to the player base" event, perhaps with a mini promo, freebies, a grand 'thank you' for keeping the game alive. Instead, they are more along the lines of "give us more money". An expensive pack ($80 for me), overpriced divines in reserved sales whose perks are borderline useless, and star rain, which for reasons unbeknownst to me still have 1x Mash as a prize.

This is it? This is all we get?

This is NOT the 20th birthday celebration I expected as a veteran player. default smiley (n)

Too many great memories to recount, including:

* all the wonderful people I've met over the years - some of them dear friends who mean the world to me

* the honour of being a member of the moderation team for several years (and I'd love to rejoin them some day!)

* winning the Grand Prix one week

* earning my Arion divine for topping the rosette table for a month

* having my idea for a game mascot come to fruition through the addition of the naughty, mischievous monkey that is default smiley (ow)

* the wonderful lady that was our original Ow, to whom I spoke and had fun and laughter with for many hours over the years and who I met in person at both Howrse Meet & Greet events in London

* the spitting llama April Fool's joke that same Ow played on us all

* the addition of Monkey to my life and all the fun he has brought. Believe it or not, he was our original Ow's idea. I'd come up with the idea for a mascot for the game, for some reason they chose a monkey, and, at her request, I helped with the development of his character via the forums, Creating Monkey, the Irish cousin of Le Petit Ow default smiley (ow) was her idea, as part of developing the profile of default smiley (ow) and as an ice-breaker at the second London Meet & Greet, where Monkey 'guarded' the candy bowl default smiley :p

* Fluffy The Forum Monster who showed up in so many Fun Topics in Game Play and one day swallowed and then spat up Ow default smiley xd

* the day our much-loved original Ow turned me into a duck and chased me around the forms for an afternoon, during which time I had to communicate only in quacks default smiley xd Quack quack quack!

Oh my goodness, so very many great memories default smiley xd

totally agree. there's nothing special for TODAY only. except the stars but they do those like 4 times a yr. so not that big a deal.

Three star rains. All mashes. default smiley (o)

Anyway, I've had this account since 2011 and another before that. Happy to have a game that has lasted this long - congratulations!

I've been here since 2009. default smiley :) Sadly no longer have my starter horse (a bay blanket Appaloosa named Athena) as this was back when they could die, but I do have her son! He was my first GA-coat horse from ages ago when they were very difficult to obtain for me as a new player.

And yes, I do remember all the things people are mentioning. I remember when companions were first introduced and were worth millions because they were so rare... default smiley xd

Happy 20 years! default smiley <:o)

My Star showers have been a mash?! default smiley :s Really, couldn't we have received something that rare and made specifically for this 20th birthday occasion?

I kind of agree with this. Maybe there'll be something, but the day is more than half over so it's not likely I don't think.

For the 15th, there were two mini-events with prizes and the grand prize was Quindecim, a totally free Divine with a perk. I'm not saying we needed to be given a whole Divine and didn't expect one, but even a fun little mini-game with some typical event prizes like BMI or store items would have been enjoyable and welcome.

This one the *only* prize is the star rain which is so varied people can end up with a single mash or one pass seed, and some (not even discounted) reserved sales which isn't even truly a "prize" since you have to purchase it. Same with the pack. Promo offers aren't a celebration to me, especially since we get them weekly at this point.

Definitely disappointing considering all the hype. I would have been happy even with something like a 20th anniversary banner for our avatars, but there really wasn't anything.

I think this server was only a few weeks old when I joined - I did try to quit once, just before they added the western riding, but just couldn't stay away default smiley :p
I think my best memory was finally getting a divine (Croesus) from the objectives. I was able to get him and my very first horse back when I restarted default smiley :)
As for the star rain, while I've only found mashes on au, I had received a VA and a nyx pack here default smiley :-))
