Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Haha I asked on the game play forum, and someone showed me that calculator! Definitely saved it!

So I can't decide if I should re make my GV/SF mare to bump up the GP for my QP cross. The GP would be around 6600 right now, but I could pick up a vanner from sales breed it to a SF, blup the offspring, and then my QP would be around 7300. So tempting! I think I might do it lol

I'd certainly do it!

Already did lol! Will be bolting to a mare, and covering with a QP. Hoping the twin will sell!

The Foundry is BLUPed if anyone would like a cover.
Sorry to bother everyone with another breeding question default smiley (lol)

If I breed a 75% KWPN 25% SF to a 75% SF 25% KWPN, will the foal come out as SF?

Very nice KR! I'll totally steal a cover once I have this mare done!

That one hurt my head lol. I honestly don't know! Now I am curious though lol
By Retired breeder, 7th November 2016 03:04:24

Sounds good. Just shoot me a PM whenever you're ready and I can reserve the cover.
By Retired breeder, 7th November 2016 16:30:23
You can send one whenever KR! Mares' name is GV/SF 12/20. Thanks!

So bred my top QP today! Should be a fun project, but I wish the IBS were higher. Oh well lol. Here she is!

Neat! I might want one like that down the line once I'm less broke. Lol.

Very nice schmexy! I love the percentages!

So is it just me, or are wins getting harder to come by? I have bluped hundreds of horses, and don't ever remember having this much difficulty. I know I am a little rusty, but I entered a ton of rookies, trained up whatever skills I needed for certain comps. And I have so many seconds and thirds. I know my QP is a little behind in GP and skills, but he's still pretty decent, and has every bonus available. I haven't skilled in a couple years so maybe I messed something up, but I thought he'd do so well, but he's just getting squished lol.
Ugh I'm having this same problem! Of course, I don't usually skill my horses because I don't have the funds to buy passes but usually its not that hard for me to get 20 wins. I totally understand what you mean!!

Love the QP best!

Looking good equest. How many more blups until it's a perfect 33.3%?

So my plans for skilling this weekend got sidetracked a bit; I wound up not having as much time as I had hoped. Thinking of doing a Crio/PSH/Appy/Paint for a speedy crio. just need to find time and motivation to make it happen.

Thank you! He didn't turn out as great comp wise as I would have liked. But he'll still take top spot for his breed, and probably a few other breed rankings! That sounds like a fun mix, you should do it!

Love it equest! That looks like a fun project!
Thanks guys! Last time I did this project we had success at horse #14. I've got a spreadsheet in Google drive with the math that I'm using to track our progress.

Two new twinsies! I'm not going to link both since they're the same pretty much default smiley (lol). Not sure if I should keep both at this point...

Sigh. I thought sharing our horses for each other's projects was allowed in this forum? It always has been in the past...

Anyhow, let me try again with more ambiguous wording then.

Here's the spreadsheet if anyone's interested in see the math and our progress on this 33.3% project.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1q9J-HPbdpywViLZG4sEjkDfsFdmBPc2tblDPk3uMzuw/edit?usp=sharing

All horses are linked on the above spreadsheet. All of the stallions are available for covers. I'm undecided on what to do with the extra foals produced. They all turned out pretty nicely, good IBS and GP over 7100. My rejects I'm using the Sunrise Sporthorses affix.

The breeding horses for the 33.3% project get the Power of Three affix.

Just came to pop in, glad to see some of our old crossies have returned. default smiley (l)

I have a maybe-project in the works...and that's with emphasis on the maybe, as I highly doubt I will be able to get the GP I need to make my cross a comp contender. Will share breed details if it works out.
