Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

@LilOne

I think you have a nice crossbreed stallion, and do yall know any teams that are crossbred friendly?

Someone posted this link to a list a few pages back.
cross breed friendly team

Often, I will go to the best teams ranking and look at team pages as most state whether or not they offer covers for cross breed projects. A couple teams I PMed to ask as there was no indication if they did or not, and I just asked politely and let them know I did read their page first to check.

I do know that the Incitato Lipizzans(Lipizzan) team does *not* offer covers and neither does the Sikoa Emperor Arabians(Arabian) team. These were two I PMed to ask.

@ September thank you and not really. I got a cover from one top team a while back but can't remember who

I have been trying to create me a rosette horse but every time I think I might have it it never wins rosettes. Am I doing something wrong? They turn out to be good compers just not winning rosettes.

Meant to respond to this earlier but I must have gotten distracted. I did a QH x Wari x Vanner who took 26th in the reining Prix 2 years ago - I'm Only Human. I had top Wari GP but not QH or Vanner. If I'd had access to top GP for both of those breeds then he likely would have placed much higher.

I also would change the Vanner to Lipi, since dressage is more important than stamina in a reining comp, if I'm not mistaken. It'd be an interesting cross to try when I find the motivation to do it.

I'm currently trying to breed ponies, is their particular breeds better for certain comps, and if so, is it possible to breed for many skills, or is it really better to breed for one skill? I'm a newbie, so please forgive me if these questions seem dumb.default smiley :d
Hello, does anybody know where i can find a gp calculator? Please and thank you.

Any good Lusi crosses? I just finished blupping mine and I don't know what to do with her.
By Retired breeder, 10th July 2016 04:45:46

Lusi/GV is my personal favorite. Mother Lusi and father GV.

Reigning and Western Pleasure are (I have found) the best comps for them, depending on how you train them. Cross country works well if you want a classical horse.

Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions.

The fillies came out even better IBS La Petit Femme Can't wait to get her and one of the colts skilled and blupped. Eager to see what they throw! I am selling one of each or the twins... I think LOL Still undecided there. Am proud of all my babies but these are turning out wonderfully. Hopefully soon I will have my rosette horse.

Woot! Cherry Blossom (F) has 500 wins in Reining!

All in all she's got 653 wins and counting! default smiley <:o)

Wasn't sure if you were looking for Selle dominants or not so I included a bunch that had Selle in them. I don't think I've bred any Selle dominants

Sel/TB/GV/Appy
Aussie Pony/KWPN/Selle
Criollo/Selle/Appy
Appy/Selle
Gypsy/Selle

Would love to know some people's thoughts on the standardbred x arab horses? In real life these crosses are my personal favourite, but I've never bred one on the game. Any input would be appreciated.

Also what are the best crosses for show jumping?

Anyone have a stud with jumping as the main skill and trot/dressage (I don't care which order) as the other two skills that can give me a cover? Preferably 6000+ GP. Thanks!
By Retired breeder, 11th July 2016 07:11:15

You'd end up with pretty even skills. If you make it Standardbred dominant, I think it'd be an ok cross, but as Arabian dominant, a bit pointless.
