Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

I said try fillersdefault smiley ;)

The player in question might not have the network needed for fillers to work out. Or, they could have already tried fillers and that didn't work for them and the horse.

You offered your suggestion once, and that's good enough. It's up to them if they want to take it or not, but repeating it over and over again won't really get you anywhere.

Fillers suck up AP's, too. I find target training to just be less resource consuming.
Like I mentioned sherwood, comp in low level cross. Enter comps you know you can win (check out the others entered), or enter empty compsdefault smiley :) That's what I do, plus I have an arsenal of fillers, co-man accts I use fillers on, and I'm bored lol I'm actually running low on bluppers. I think I've got less than 20, if you don't count my sale string that I just comp daily.

I do agree with Dandy though, fillers can use a lot of APs. 4 for each filler, but then it also takes 4 APs per blupper. So I use 8 total. Of course, I've got roughly 2,600 APs...so I'm good default smiley xd

I do rookie comps with fillers when just BLUPing...

but I target train when going for speed.

I have roughly 1,500 APs...and I go through them fast

I never use APs on fillers. I just buy up cheap horses in sales and use them as low skill fill horses. I think I have about 200 now. EQ Filler is often their name. Of you keep your equus low you can cheaply breed more fillers too.

Thinking of doing a GV x Arabian with the foal as an Arab...default smiley (8)
By Retired breeder, 20th May 2016 00:48:22

that could be interesting would like to see the results

Ok! If I do it I'll ensure that I post here!
A friend gave me this amazing baby, but I'm not sure what to breed her with-

Lil girl

Trakes aren't at a high enough GP yet for me to go that route (though I might end up doing that at some point because the speed would be good-) but I don't want to do one of the mainstream breeds like with a TB, GV, KWPN, or Selle.

If any of you guys have any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them!

I don't BLUP too much, anymore, but I just bred this girl: Starling, and figured that she might be a fun challenge. That and I need a nice horse to use when the pre-release comes out. Double whammy. default smiley :p

You know, that's an excellent idea! I've done a Chinco cross before and it's worked out really well. Thank you so much for the suggestion!
