Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Thank you, Sherwood2. I guess I have to do links on my computer instead of my phone
There's a link button at the top of the response box, but here's the code:
[*URL=enter link] title of link [/URL]. Remove the * first, before posting.

I just bought me a Shetland filly mixed with kwpn and vanner
By Retired breeder, 27th April 2016 00:11:03
Think I will cross her back to a vanner with a little higher GP than her
By Retired breeder, 27th April 2016 00:14:05
But she will be a project for the future. I am concentrating on Bound for Glory right now

Lol that's what mine is

It's a nice one. What are you thinking of breeding her with

Thanks. Kinda want to branch out of my Morgans a bit. So decided to go with my first horse love, Friesians.

MoonRider,
Fresians are great horses and beautiful default smiley :) Good luck with them Can't wait to see more coming up.
I bred this Shagya Arabian cross that has nicely rounded skills for his breed, and placed all the main items except for clouds so could I do a skiller. However, I didn't realize there weren't that many breed only comps for him to enter, and his cross country skill set isn't quite up to par with the top cross country breeds.

I'm not sure if I want to go ahead and fully cloud it or not, though I suppose he might do better in western comps. But I could save my cloud pack and breed another skiller cross from either his twin or his dam. Any advice would be wonderful.default smiley (lol)

He is nice

He does look nice!! Since there aren't that many breed only comps you could finish skilling him over a period of days? Or try your luck with open comps and try and fill for yourself? You might have the best luck in trot.

I bred Bound for Glory's dam to a thoroughbred stallion again. Hoping for fillies and good IBS but didn't have the tears to use this time
Thank you both!
The problem I had with clouding him was that I'm not sure if I'd feel like I'm wasting a Cloud Pack if he can't compete as well with other breeds. I could use the resources to get that extra lesson gain, but if his skills aren't up to part in open comps even with that, then I wasn't sure if it would be worth it.

But oh well. I think I'll go for it and fully cloud him anyway, and maybe change his specialty to western. Sounds silly, but I like the feeling of accomplishment of doing a full skiller even if the horse doesn't win rosettes or anything

Will try for my fillies again hope I can get a tears and fertility wand

I think my next crossbreed will be selle/thoroughbred. Breeding the best jumpers on the game with very fast runners. Interesting.

Your gallop and jump should even out (though gallop might be a little higher?) but speed and dressage will stay high! Sounds like an interesting cross indeed.

Black Beauty

This is one of the new twins. What do you think? IBS wasn't near as good as bound for glory and his twin but gp is 6100.20
