Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Breeding at a hundred BLUP would help. Add in more Selle blood and KWPN. Australian ponies have high jump as well. I think.default smiley xd

Quick question since this server seems more experienced than my main one. Does the dominant breed affect the top three skills a lot? Like, I have a Teke 50% TW 25% TB 25% and her top three skills are (in order) Stamina, Dressage, and Speed. If I were to rearrange the % so maybe TB were 50% would that change her skills? Logically in my head, I'm thinking yes. But I just want to be sure.

I think it would go 25% TB 25% Teke, 12.5 % (or something like that) of the other two.

It would end up being the father's non dominant breed, I'm pretty sure.

I've finished BLUPing my cross, just need to age another year.

I've got a new one! Fairly pleased with the outcome actually. I just bred one of my AP/GA horses to a random stallion and got this horse.
What do you guys think? Any idea's to add to it?

Dear gods, are we really that close to 6000 GP?! Or have we already just breached that with pures?

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows where to offer coverings to crossbreeders? I have a friesian above release which I will gladly sell coverings of at 7,500 to crossbreeders ONLY (not to purebred friesians), this boy: http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=47837604. Also is there any way to reserve coverings publicly by breed? That would be lovely.

Link didn't work, trying again, Lancelot. Obviously will be BLUPing to 100 first.

I think you can offer covers for cross breeders here...

I don't think the dominant breed has any effect on it. You're still mixing in the same skillsets and GPs; the dominant breed is really just determined by the order in which the cross is bred. So as long as you keep everything the same, and just change the order in which you breed the cross, I believe the skill set wouldn't change.

I'm looking for a cross bred stallion of a TB x kwpn i will pay the full 7500e for him
The skill set would change. The third breed added in would give dominant traits, I've tested the calculations before.
