Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

I am currently trying to save some passes for an MA for We Found Love. But none of my horses will sell! default smiley (li)
@Twi, a LONG time. That would explain why my GPs are all outdated, because by the time i finish BLUPing a foal, it's GP is looong gone. So I gave up on keeping up with GPs. But I can't afford 2 passes every time I BLUP a horse, so I just have to live with it. :P

Hello everyone

I was curious as to what fellow cross breeders would recommend: If I wanted to begin crossbreeding successfully, should I purchase a cross bred foal from the sales and train it up and breed it when it's ready? Or should I buy a pure mare already at 100 BLUP and breed her to create my own cross foal?

Also, how are profits when it comes to cross breeding?

snowBear- I suggest Breeding your own crossbreds. This way, you can moniter the genetics, and breeds on your own. I find it easier that way with arabsxfresians, anyway
I blupped these crosses without MAs...

Red Horizon

Stud Muffin

Evil Angel

Firework

All That Jazz

There might be others somewhere but I can't find 'em at the moment. :P

I would buy a pruebred 100 blup horse first. But if you don't have passes a crossbred foal is your best bet. Profits can be good once you get started.
I agree with sroseys1, it depends on if you can afford a nice 100 BLUP mare, if not get a cross foal and start from there. default smiley :)

Hey guys, I'm new to Cross breeding but I have a couple of questions. Do I have to skill the parents to get a foal worth anything? I mean if I had say a TB and a Paint, if I just blupped them and bred them how would the foal differ from if I skilled them both before I bred them. Could I Blup and cross breed and then skill the foal when I get the stats that I want? I may not be making any sense lol.

Everyone is broke in passes. I have a great RC crossbred for only 1 pass and I have no takers.
I don't have anything that I could sell for passes that I'm willing to part with... default smiley :$

I know what you mean but I have started to let go as I need the passes to have more horses that I can fall in love with.
I'm too attached to my pixels to sell the nice ones. :P
