Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Only need three more wins then my GV mare can be trained and bolded. As soon as she is, if you have a stud you would like to cover her with PM me. She's is pure though so keep that in mine. I plan to breed a Beautiful Arab stallion to her my self then sell her for some passes so I can BLUP the foal.

@ spiritmustang - there's nothing wrong with it as long as the meat gets used, it's just like having a leather chair and eating beef.

I am currently doing Appaloosan and Thouroughbred breeding.

Well I got a pass horse and tried for a Treasure chest but no luck. I am hoping to sell off some good horses for passes.
I just think shooting animals for blankets like that is wrong, I mean it could have been carrying a fawn.

spirit; We always use the meat completely. default smiley (y) Now we're just using the coat as well (we didn't ever know how to do it before. First attempt for everything!).

unlikely at this time of the year spiritmustang, it's winter
spirit; It was not pregnant. That is why deer hunting is illegal in the spring in summer. It's so the foals can grow and mature.

Bella; I've never done ponies so I don't know what their skills are, but if you like the skill match-up, go for it.

Genetic Potential. The "estimated" skills of your horse (not including inborn skills, companion skilling, and lessons I believe).

i think it will - increase the dressage and inprove the stamina. I might get a standardbred and a trakhener, cross them then use it on my welsh/connie to improve trot and gallop. 25/25/25/25 then cross with a gypsy or lustiano/ welsh or connie so it will end up a a pony.
Bella; If you want to improve Trot and Gallop, I'd use a Standie X Thoroughbred cross. Trakes technically excell in Jump versus the other two (although mine don't). But their GP is also low compared to Thoroughbreds (the highest public covers for Trakes are 800gp).
