Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

clifford- Really it depends on what you want. Each cross tends to be better at certain areas like a GV/Arab has good stamina, Fry.Lust is a great dressage horse and TB/Mar has good gallop. Or Shet?Hano has good Jump. A super horse would consist of multiple horses to even out all the skills.
clifford please don't use chat speak. It makes it hard for other people from other countries to understand you. Use proper words and sentences to make ti easier for everyone to read and understand.

shiannes0820- so the super-horse would have to be all different cross breeds
By Retired breeder, 31st December 2011 03:17:55
yeeks! k so i'm havin issues with getting wins still, i'm just enterig a ton of comps now, well x-country anyways, msg me if that causes issues and i'll back off, ive been trying to be careful
The horse Twi showed is my horse that she's helping blup. Her mother didn't have this many problems.... So training in jumping would be the best idea?

clifford, no you want a horse with a low skill , like trot or jump, and have speed and dressage be high. You want the primary skill to be low, secondary skills to be higher

clifford- Not every breed but a couple different breeds. 4-ways usually do the trick for a good horse but a super horse would need a few more breeds added.

Twi - You should've just done Cross Country to start with her top skills are Dressage, Stamina, and Jumping. Finish jump training and she'll have the wins in no time.
clifford668- There are some tips about crossbreeding in xellosnut's form.

clifford- BLUPed at least. Fully trained doesn't mean its at its best. You need 20 wins, top three skills bolded and ten years old.
yes, fully BLUPed parents equals a decent foal. tears makes better. top gp parents makes the best

I am happy! Jingle Bells has all of his wins! He got 3 well I was gone so now all I have to do is bold him but that will have to wait until tomorrow when I have APs. I have thought about it and I have decided to put the Harmony Pack on him.
By Retired breeder, 31st December 2011 04:03:36
can u put a link up for jingle bells? i can never seem to find him and i want to take a peek
By Retired breeder, 31st December 2011 04:05:37
Sure here he is: Jingle Bells He has his new coat now and I am just working on getting his stamina done. I am trying to get that done today so that I can get his gallop done tomorrow and by the end of the day he should be done!
