Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

shiannes; I bred her to be number one in Hano Trot and she is. She won't gain anymore Trot and I don't know any thing else of much to do. I didn't think she needed a stone. But I don't have one anyway...maybe if I get one I will put it on her. Many of my horses have RCs.

Ugh, I can't get my skiller sold. I mean, I don't wanna keep him, but I need at least 5 passes for him if I sell him. Ugh. I mean, he's a 50% GV (25%Arab/25%Hano) cross skiller gelding, fully blupped and bolded, best tack, bunch of BM items, you'd think he'd go quicker. Do you guys think he's overpriced?

Twilight- did you do beach rides? That's how I got KowBoi's gallop to 280. I stole some from jumping XD

He had 19 wins right now. Once I get his top three skills Bolded than I he's BLUPPed
Sparky; Yep, she is fully beached.

You know what sucks? When your breeding mare is ready to be fully blupped. At 6 years old. That is 4 years I gotta wait (She has M. Arms but still a lot of wasted time)
By Retired breeder, 26th December 2011 23:02:58
you could always just do more games and lessons a911245 default smiley :) lol just boost her skills
By Retired breeder, 26th December 2011 23:10:23
That's what I'm doing, beach rides and lessons. haha. She has an Equus pet.

Also, don't you hate when people ask you to lower the passes on a skiller gelding 'cause it's a crossbred' And when you say you can go lower, but _ is the lowest I can go, then you add, and why does it matter he's crossbred if he's a gelding, then they say that him being a gelding lowers his value even more. ???

I thought skillers brought more money being geldings? Or is that just me?
I think a skiller gelding has a better chance to clean house with the comps; that is why they are GELDINGs and crossbreeding gives a bigger edge to most horses' skills as well. Fooey on those people who short the price/value of the crosses.

On another note, when you are looking for new GA coats, how do you know which ones are going to retire. Is there a list somewhere?

If you hover over their name it'll tell if you it has a limited number of uses.

@Gouldilox Exactly! I mean, skillers are usually crossbred and usually geldings. I was kinda like default smiley (o) when they said that him being a skiller crossbred gelding LOWERED his value. I thought "You might wanna do some homework before saying what does and doesn't lower values" I think people just want to *try* and convince us they're worth nothing, so they can get a good horse for cheap.
he is over priced, he doesn't have a cloud pack, his gp is outdated, and he isn't skilled fully to 25 in a 60e EC, so technically isn't a skiller, just a cross gelding with a decent skill level

He is a comp horse, there. You happy with that terminology? He's been up for like days, so ya, his GP is getting left behind, because he has been sitting in the sales.

My newest cross, gonna probably breed this one to a fry/hano if I can find a good one.

Everybody wants a good deal- You cannot blame them (too much) for trying.

Also, thanx for the tip on finding limited use coats. I never noticed because I usually go so fast when giving the coats; I am so anxious to see my "fancy" horse!

I'm hoping to get a cross good enough for the CC Grand Prix one of these days, doubt it will be soon though.
By Retired breeder, 26th December 2011 23:53:42
I agree with Horsebabe91, although I wouldn't say his GP is that outdated. He's overpriced as is so if you really want to sell him you should drop the number of passes to 5-6 and hope someone picks him up.

My purebred Mars are one generation away from a star in trot. One step closer to breeding a dressage Mar cross, \o/

Feel like my 42* crosses I bred about 7 months ago are now very much outdated default smiley :$ GP moves fast. Very very fast.
wasn't trying to offend by the way, just giving my opinion. he is a nice horse, just a bit over priced, and with all these promos going on, horse sales are bad

I ended up getting an M. Arms, 50k and 3 passes for him, that was the first offer on him. I took it. haha
a911245; I have a Hano 50%, Frie 25%, Arab 25%. Will that work?

I am upset my Kindle Fire's video library doesn't have Spirit...loo

Crosses don't do all that well in grand prix unless they share the same top two skills as the breed that wins.

Well she's still a baby, I'll have arms and a timer on her when she's old enough.
What's the horse's name?
His name is Modern Warfare 3. I believe he is under my BLUPed tab.
