Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

@ Twilight - Decent mare, may breed her to a cross thats good at stamina and gallop and that baby would be pretty well rounded default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 26th December 2011 17:45:25
Twilight- How come you used a retired coat on that horse when it doesn't have a stone? But anyways thats a really nice horse. Did Hano's ever reach the GP race with all the other horses? I mean, they never had very good GP to begin with did they?
By Retired breeder, 26th December 2011 17:48:15
@ shiannes - They are up to 1365 GP, so ya, they are pretty good now. That's around what my cross Gypsy is.
Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted here last....

I have a quick question that maybe one of you could answer:
I have a 1360 GP cross with 420 inborns and a similar cross with 1380 GP and 400 inborn—what is better to have in the long run?

Happy holidays!

1380 for sure eatcud
yeah, her GP is medioker, but I think her CC career is promising. I like that her top 3 skills are Jump, Stamina, Dressage in that order as opposed to a pure brumby Speed Gallop Stamina. With the exception of other crossed Brumbys she should be invincible in the CC Reserved for brums races.

Or so goes my theory when I designed the mix.default smiley :d

1380 eatcud because IBS changes and all it is is skills where GP changes too but has better quality foals.

Haha, only cause you didn't want to face my Gypsy CC skillers default smiley ;) haha jk Ya, she should have a promising CC career if you train her right default smiley ;)

default smiley :p I'll admit, when I see one of your GV skillers I die a little inside...

I usually have to throw my little fillers under the bus to clear up some open comps in CC, but it doesn't bother me.

OH yes everyone you've probably seen horses named #OL's _______ in the CC comps lately... mostly in the comps for rookies. They be fillers and weaklings and you should stomp them.default smiley (a)

SHEESH you'd think it wouldn't be this hard to find ONE Age Point for Gadiel...default smiley :@

default smiley (a)Gadiel and Felisa are making lots of monster babies. Purebred brumbies hate their lives right about now.

Trying to decide wether to age for a pass or sell for equus my old broodmare Felisa with MA. Most likely I'll go for the pass, unless she has 0 skills by age 30 and I can sell her as an objective 91 horsedefault smiley *-)

Gadiel ended up one of my personal favorites... Maybe I'll keep him for stud if he won't sell for passes.

My Tango Mike group is officially up and running with its starter foals, Abby, Abba, Abbott, and Abalone... and a few moredefault smiley (a) see the pattern yet?

She's a purebred Standie but what do you think of her GA + Ray combo?

Traded some diamonds for Arms (and other BMIs) so I can start BLUPping that Fry/Lusi. Pretty sure I'll hit 81* when I breed her to a purebred Fry. That's exciting, default smiley :d
