Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Yes! I finally got the Fountain this week, with much thanks to Glitchy for screwing up everyone's ECs and preventing better horses from getting into the gallop comps, lol. Now I need some horses to skill to take advantage of this while it lasts....

Thanks Lily for the Clouds.

Well, I'm bored. All my crosses are done for the weekend and my Russians and Irish Hunters are at a stand still since I have no more AP's. I feel so...so... unused. Wah! Oh well, I'm going to go search the sales for some steals and check the card flash sales. My friend got Greyfell the other day and makes me want to try even harder all though I will settle for just the unlimited H. Ray and HoP on the 1st of every month.

Wish me luck I I wish you all luck. PM me if you need something.
LastChancetoDance; You're welcome.
Speaking of the cards, I've got all the ones for the Greyfell puzzles except the Diamond cards. default smiley (lol) It's just not gonna happen...

I think I'm gonna hop off here. Been on for a while...I should raid the fridge!! default smiley *-)

Really hoping ECs go back up to 60e lessons tomorrow or Sunday so that I can skill my Fry/Lusi filly while I have the Fountain. Also gonna try to get a Shet/Aussie cross done before the showjump Prix so I'll need to get my Aussie filly into an EC after the next update. Anyone have experience with pony breeds and can tell me how much I should feed them?
By Retired breeder, 24th December 2011 04:08:07
Fifth- I would as the Shetland breeders. Not a lot of people use them for crosses because of the diets. Or PM Xellos. They've bred a couple before.

Just need 18 more clouds to get Sunset finished. He should make 3rd for RD Elites if I can get him fully clouded. A better EC would help too but Im not that picky. 55e works for me.

....i'm back!! sigh i wish i could sell my greyfell, i hate him so much, LOL i realllly don't want him!!! anywho, i'm still workin on elegance, i hope to have her blupped before i leave for my vacay....BTW are there possibly anypeople on here that i could leave in control of my horses? i just need someone to feed them whilst i am gone

I honestly dislike my Greyfells. I'm not a fan of the diamond thing, and yet I ended up with three basicly useless Greyfells before I knew what they were used for. I like my Mist so much better. She's one of the only ones on the game who has yet to produce an Ocean.
By Retired breeder, 24th December 2011 04:47:17
Lily- Exactly why Im not freaking out about not getting one. I can barely get Diamonds as it is (I exchange mine for BM's on the Black Market) so why bust my but to waist them on something not really worth it.

Hey Artemis, PM me, I may be able to help.

I hate all the divines/specials. I play Howrse because it's somewhat realistic. The divines and specials just ruin it. Not to mention all the stupid promos for them. The only divine I like is Amethyst, and that's just because it's purple, which is my favourite colour. And it should really be female. I still don't get the point of Greyfells.

On a still annoyed note-I won't get to start my foal until after Christmas. It just has not been a good day. default smiley (lol)
Fifth your welcome. in thanks you should feed Glitchy and apple LOL.

And I've worked shets and aussie ponies both. I just finished a Shet horse for prix that did well. And my friend is starting to work on the aussies so I should be able to snatch one of those eventually.

Feeding isn't that bad. You can't train quite as much as one can with the big horses but I was able to adjust. I think I fed 8 or 10 pounds hay and 4 pound grain no matter what unless they started gaining weight but didn't happen very often for me.

Well anyways I'm off to go wrap more presents. Pm if you have more questions.

Guys, I have a question, my mare is in foal to twin 77* (i think, from my calculations) with around 400 ibs colts. So here's the question, would it be worth more in the sales as a mare, stallion or gelding? Cause I have a bolt and I'm gonna bolt one so I can continue breeding up, but should I put all the BM items on the male or the female?
@a911245 females can usually go at a higher price unless it's a skiller gelding. It depends on what your planning to do to the one you want to sell.

I'm gonna bold the one I sell, and it will have almost every bm item on it. So if I geld one, then blup and bold it, Would it be good enough to go for passes?
It should definitely sell for passes especially if you do it quickly so the horse will still have very GP/stars for the sales. In that case either keeping them male or gelding them would work fine and they'd sell for about the same whether you geld it or not. A female might sell for a little more, but it wouldn't be that big of a difference I believe. You should probably get a second opinion on it though.

a911245- Yes it will. People love skiller gelding for comps. Now if you bold a female and sell her, she would most likely just bring in equu's where as a stallion may get passes since he can breed far more than a female.

I am happy, sold 2 Russian dons for a total of 450k so now I can go find some good horses to breed better crosses. Wonder what to get. I would like to try out my new RD stud but what to breed him to? Uh decisions decisions!! -.-

I wonder, would a 4-way Fry/Lust/GV/RD do well? Shoul;d have high GP and dressage. Stamina and trot would be high too. Maybe I will try that. Just need to breed a GV/RD female to breed to a Fry/Lust stud and hope the baby is RD dominant.
By Retired breeder, 24th December 2011 05:48:33
kk Thanks guys!
By Retired breeder, 24th December 2011 05:50:33
Wait I got that wrong, it would need to be a GV/RD stallion to a Fry/Lust female for it to be RD dominant. Well trats, that means I need a RD female instead of my stud. Well this will be harder than I thought. I dont have enough BM's or passes for that. Oh well, I can at least try.
Thanks shiannes for the second opinion. I was fairly sure but I wasn't completely certain.
