Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

hi, i need advice on how to produce a really good jumper. any ideas?
If you are looking for show jump wins, you want a horse with high speed and dressage. You can enter low % difficulty show jump comps and do well. If you are looking for cross country wins, you would do best in the low % difficulty comps with a horse that has high dressage and jumping. Any breed of horse can be crossed to get certain skill sets for whatever you want. Arabs, Friesians and GVs seem to be good with stamina. TB have good speed. Shetlands have good jumping. It really depends on which bred you like. You should look around for a breed that you like and work from there.

@stallion lover with the way you trained her it'll be difficult winning any kind of competition. I'd train up her speed, leave her gallop/trot/jump alone, and put her in gallop, trot, and showjump comps. You'll have to be real patient about it.

Fifth- Thankyou default smiley :)

Xellos- Which horse of yours is the one you're talking about? I'd like to see her.

So apparently you can only get a pass from ten pass horses a month. Once again, my attempts at a Cloud Pack have been thwarted. I bet Howrse has conjured a conspiracy against me getting that Pack. default smiley (lol)

I'm other news, I'm still trying to figure out which comps Meek is best at. She has 130 trot wins but also has been placing second a little too much for my liking. She's undefeated in Show Jumping but only has 3 wins. She has 40 wins in CC with 9 seconds. Guess I'll just enter as many different types of comps as possible and see which she does best with.

I sadly have to sell Intergalactic my first crossbred that I actually ever trained an did stuff with... :*( I really need a card pack and openings fro my new horses... he is not ranked in stamina or anything just in trot.. and I dont need trot skills right now.

Xellos isn't the only one having problems. I have a cross Im trying to finish and its not letting him run his comps. I keeps telling me I already have two horses entered in every comp when I obviously dont. It's very frustrating.
