Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

I haven't tried crossing lusis with anything yet I believe. Crossing my fingers for something good. Course, I don't know what I'm doing.

Bestfriends- I've found they exceed well in all disciplines but speed, and gallop which is why i use them alot.
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 03:45:18
stallion lover- Not particularly. Maybe stamina or dressage. Thanks for the help!
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 03:45:57
Clownfish- Lusi's are great with stamina, trot, and dressage. Wish you well (:
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 03:47:25
what is good to cross with Arab/TB, for trot. A standardbred?
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 03:47:40
or what about brum,by and fjords?
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 03:49:28
Thanks stallion lover! I hope to become an accomplished cross breeder default smiley (lol)

Arabian Master- An ArabXTB would do good well with a standie or ( this might sound weird) Lusi..... My herd lately have been having this weird ( but very high) skill amounts in trot... they've been ranked 20th and 10th.....

Clownfish- your welcome default smiley ;)

stallion lover- Looks like a great horse and super specialized! Sure, why not.
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 03:54:54
Clwonfish- Thankyou... haha hoping I can get my horses atleast in the top 10 of Lusi Stamina rankings (:
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 04:03:14
Well their stamina sucks. I bred one thinking that the stamina would be a lot higher because mom was arab/GV, but once I bred to a lusti, it brought the stamina down to just a bit above what an arab or GV crossed with a lusti would look like. So I found it wasn't really worth it.
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 04:08:40
I'll keep that in mind, bestfriends. Bred an Arab to a Lusi a few days ago, hoping it won't decrease anything...

Ummmm different with me.... Had this sucky Arab stamina mare.... once bred to lusi.... her skills raised by 150 and her GP 50.... So it really depends on which, and how you breed the horses (:
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 04:11:10
Well the stamina will go down because a lusti's worse skill is stamina, so you will lose some stamina skill. But they are really nice crosses.

**Ooops sorry bout double posting***
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 04:14:13
Yeah sorry about my double post too. I don't know, but I hope my foal turns out okay.
By Retired breeder, 18th December 2011 04:16:16
That's impossible. An arab's best skill is stamina, so if it is bred to a lusti, whose worse skill is stamina, it's going to balance out. It won't come out higher than the mom unless the lusti is crossed with a breed high in stamina as well. Well yeah her foal's GP can be higher than the parent if you use a stud that has substantially higher GP.

Bestfriend- My mare was a LusiXArab and I bred her to a Dominate Lusi with a aphrodites tears which brought the stamina up bout 150 (: That horse actually I think was ImInLoveAgain(: .... I dont remember though,...

Can you link it?
About how much bolded skill will a horse get with 215gp (for example's sake there is no IBS).

Twilight- If not lessons or companion skill games were done then the horse would bold out with 215 skills.
Oh, long day. Cannot think at all. default smiley (lol)
