Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

She's not Arab, so no. She would only be listed in the Gypsy ranks and the overall ranks.

I'm looking to breed a Dressage comp filler for my EC. Looking for high Dressage/Trot/Gallop. I have mostly TBs and KWPNs (and crosses between those breeds). I was thinking maybe breeding a TB to a Paso or another trot breed would help. Or would I be better off buying a Paso to breed? Any suggestions?

Since Lusitanos dominate dressage comps you'll want to use that in there, or maybe buy a purebred of your own. If you're wanting to breed a cross though I would suggest having a Lus in there as higher GP is usually available.

Thanks for the advice! I'd already picked up a Paso filly by the time I read this, but I just snagged a Lusi filly as well. I'll play around with them and see what I come up with. default smiley :)

Are any of the Lippi teams cross friendly?, does anyone know?
My trot foal, Voyager, of my 1000+GP in all genetics in done. I'm gonna wait until coat release to see if I can find a limited one that fits her name.
I've only got 2 foals left, speed and jump. I think I'm going to revise my spreadsheets though. I planned out all 6 foals back in August and GP has gone up since then, and a couple personal horses that were included are slightly outdated. Hopefully the GP increase will make my final two segments of this a little easier and faster

Newest Filly! Her GP is really good for a cross, and her skill set looks promising. I have high hopes for this little girl. default smiley ^)

Very proud of him default smiley :ddefault smiley (y)
Finally got the right breed order for the daddy to a christmas present I'm making. They were difficult. I went through about 4 different mare/stud combos to get the breed I wanted listed 2nd.

She would be a beautiful XC horse. If you beach for jump / stamina you could definitely be in high-level rosette competitions. default smiley (a)

Anyone got any paint dom crosses I could look at? Looking for covers.
By Retired breeder, 14th December 2016 22:50:30

I have a couple (a Paint/Paso and a Paint/Walker, but one's a filly), but they aren't BLUPed currently. I do have a purebred Paint stud who's BLUPed, though.

Check out my Phenomenon breeding farm. Most are Appy dom crosses but Cult is a Paint. #1 Jumper too.

What are some good Selle crosses? I've got a 7400+ GP mare.

Selle x Arab, high dressage & jumping and average stamina means excelling at mid-level XC comps

I know I thought about an Arab cross for her. Even looked into public covers. Can't remember why I didn't go through with it.. Are any of the Arab trams cross friendly?

Hello all crossbreeders.

As you may remember, 21st Century (my previous account) compiled a list of the top skills per breed.

I have since expanded on the collection, and there are now 8 tables sorting the information in different orders.

You can now look for the primary, secondary, or tertiary skills by value OR by skill type, so that you can easily compare the skills between breeds that excel in similar fields.

Please note that the information was all compiled by me, but you are free to distribute elsewhere as long as you don't claim it is yours.

You can see the information here.

Just a bit of extra help should you need inspiration for your next project.

Regards,
Hiems

Your EC is private so those of us who don't have horses boarded can't access the information :/

Ah, that was strange?
I've changed it now, hopefully you'll now be able to access it?
