Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

10 minutes and my horse already has 18 wins, I think I finally trained a horse correctly lol (; How Do You Like Me Now I cant find a morph arms so im just training of my millions of aging points. No one wants a morph arms for 190k, weird :/

[url/http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=23167994]I've got my Vanner/Fry stally BLUP'd. If anyone wants a cover let me know. I'll be bolting him over in a week or two.[/url]

I finally got enough ingredients and was able to make a Nyx Pack! I put it on Rocky Balboa. I'll be BLUP'ing him either tomorrow or Saturday. So happy!

And the person who ordered that Fjord has *still* not bought him. As soon as he/she does I can pay back the last two passes and start saving up passes for a Cloud Pack for Rocky. I really hope they pick him up soon...

By Retired breeder, 9th March 2012 04:21:15
Gotta get off, hoping i'll soon find that morph arms lol (: She's def gonna get her two wins tonight. Then I have to age and age till she hits 10 so she'll be done by tommorow at the least.
By Retired breeder, 9th March 2012 04:22:14
Actually, never mind.Sorry about that

I dont know what in the world happened to my training, my mares mother and father had both greatly excelling stamina skills. Her stamina outcome was only 267 and her mother was about 291 or something like that. Im greatly dissapointed. I have to finish her out though and sell her :/
By Retired breeder, 9th March 2012 04:53:38
Well, her stamina GP is about 21 points lower than her mother's (she has 204.68 GP in stamina, her mom has 225.85), and that would account for most of the difference. And with the +/- modifier on a foal's inborn skills, that would cover the rest of the difference between their skills.
So it isn't anything wrong in the training, that is about the difference they should have, since her father was not a stamina cross, he lowered the stamina GP, but increased it in other areas. Nothing to be disappointed in, really, you didn't mess up her training.

What I usually do when planning a cross (which I haven't really done recently on this server, but I bred some nice Prix crosses on the US version), is to look at the GP of each skill in the horses I want to cross, and figure out what the average of their GP would be. that way I know what to expect, and if I need to use a different stallion for my cross. But then, I almost like crunching the numbers more than the actual breeding, but it does help me get closer to the horse I want.

So crossbreeding is basically crossing a breed like an Appaloosa and an Irish Hunter to get a Fresien? default smiley (o)

3/20 wins. 17 to go. But. It's a start.
Just used my monthly pass on a Zeus' Lightning Bolt for Silver Palomino Wind.
http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=23215818 just went from a Cross-Bred King horse to a Cross-Bred Queen horse.

Time to get mine and maveric's girl BLUPed, then breed a test foal a foal that will be the sire of the foal I plan to skill. If only I had an extra pass or two I wouldn't hesitate to throw on some arms for the father but alas, I am short one pass.

That's nice, Twilight. Very nice cross.

I officially am sick of having so much to do... I think from now on, giving multiple horses a Nyx is not a good thing. Feel so stressed and pushed to get my horses done.
