Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

I'm pretty new to this game (as you can see). But would like to get some good info on cross breeding comp. horses. Logically I would think that a TBxArab would be a good mix in real life for crosscountry. But would like any and all advice you have for breeding comp. horses for the following events.
Dressage
Show Jumping
Cross country
Your help would be really appreciated.default smiley :d
Fry/Lusi is a good dressage horse. Tb/arab or arab/gv are good at cross country and show jumping.

I'm looking for a Good breeding group. Don't really care what breed just need to be social on howrse, and get more invloved.
Because the breeding groups I have been "accepted" into had like 100's of people in it. With the founder of the group having a 950Gp horse. And she had like 300 registered days.I only have 25 and my lowest horse other than my first horse is the same as her highest. So sorry just venting. But anywho I'm looking for a serious breeding group with people who know what their doing. Please reply here or PM please.default smiley :)

Augh, the Appy and QP covers are just not good enough for my PSH mare's GP. Maybe I'll replace the Appy part of my favorite mare's pedigree with the PSH and do a TB/Paint/PSH cross instead...
Jello; Maybe cover to a stud with high Gallop that ain't TB?

Twi- Not TB, what about GV or Aussie? Ok or not okay?
Fifth ask the Appy breeding group, they are quite good for giving out coverings for crossbreeders

Jello; Nah...I'd like the dom horse to not be a more "popular" kind of breed. Maybe QH? Dunno how high they are. Or surprise me. default smiley (lol)

Fifth you have a PSH mare?
By Retired breeder, 4th March 2012 18:54:40
@maverick lol I forgot about that. That's how I got such a nice Appy cover for my Paint mare several weeks ago. Methinks I'll do that once I BLUP my newborn PSH filly.

@shiannes I have one, fully BLUPped. What do you need?
By Retired breeder, 4th March 2012 18:54:53
I would like to introduce to you, the number 1 Speed and Gallop Nokota.

Back For More

Twi- I'll be sending you that GA to get her a coat. I dont have a Lyre or Ray though/

I need a GV/PSH colt but a female will be fine since I have a bolt.
Fifth, could I also get a foal from the PSH mare? Let me check what breed..

Sorry guys, we can't do any higher GP covers from the QPs than sales release. Trust me, I tried. default smiley (b)
shiannes; Rays are pretty cheap to buy though, aren't they?

Jello; *waits*

Good thing you have a bolt since my mare threw another filly, lol What do you think?
Fifth, could I get a PSH/Hano foal using your mare, once shiannes is done with her? It would help me out a lot!
