Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Weird question, but can someone check to see what the highest GP purebred QP is on the game and what breeding group owns it? I'd check myself but my laptop does this weird thing where it freezes up and makes me restart whenever I try to look at the rankings. Need to compare with the public covers and see if I can ask for a higher GP cover to my PSH mare.

Heyyyyy! Anyone miss me? *hugs everyone* I am thinking about doing a 3 way cross between The Devil's Daughter and a Nokota, just to test out the new breeds....

Fifth; According to current rankings, its at about 1377 and is bred by the group ¼ Ponies

Ha ha I just sank a million equus down the drain trying to tame my Spanish Mustang. Now to enter all my skillers in all the comps to get that all back, default smiley xd

Suppose this means I should start skilling my trail class cross early so that I can do her lessons AND comps at the same time.
Eeeee!!! He's the top!!! He also has #1 for Trot and #1 for popularity (Thanks to multiple postings here)

Grah this Spanish Mustang is eating up all my equus default smiley :@ its baaad. May start breeding Unis again just to get the money back
Anyway on a slightly better note, I have 3 Hackneys in the top 10 and need to finish them for the top 3 spots. Just a bit annoyed cos I won't take top stamina, my calculations were off. Still get 2nd though, and 2nd jumping, top 2 for speed, top gallop and the other 2 in gallop, and a couple on the dressage board when they finish too. Not bad I don't think default smiley :d

horselover, rebreed with tears, you may also get a female, which you could breed with the nokota you have now.

@Notbob that's what I wanted to do... But then I'll have to wait till next week and I don't really want to. default smiley (lol) Plus, I'm glad I got a male. I was getting tired of the filly streak. Maybe I can BLUP him and use him as a breeder then rebreed like you said? That might work. Now if only I had the aging points...

Can someone tell me if I should do Western or Classical with this horse? Lovin's Twist
Thanks!
By Retired breeder, 21st February 2012 18:52:51
Oh and I was wondering if anybody had a good Nokota stallion that does not have Fresian or PSH in it?
By Retired breeder, 21st February 2012 18:58:29
sroceys - I'm not an expert on comps, but if was you I'd try galloping races with him? default smiley :) just a suggestion
By Retired breeder, 21st February 2012 18:59:52
Okay anybody else have any suggestions?
By Retired breeder, 21st February 2012 19:01:29
@lovecookie ah you have a friesian from Xellosnuts. Great breeder you've got a nice fry there. It all depends on what you want to improve on. My advice is to go to Xellosnuts forum and read the post she has on how to start crossbreeding. It's a huge help. default smiley ;)

@sroseys1 the horse could go either way I believe. But you can test him in each to see what he fits into best. (You can change what kind of comps he does by going to the tab like you would change his name). Also, I have a Notoka stallion that I'm working on that might help you out. But he won't be finished for a while.
Does anyone have a good Hackney? Hopefully at least 50% Hackney, good gp; those purebred hackney breeders need to hurry up! Anyways, I dont need it now, but sometime in the next week or so. And I need to raise my AP stock again, after HB and Twi completely depleted it yesterday. default smiley :p But it was all worth it for that Trake! default smiley xd *swoons more*
