Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Train or sell? Lol I dunno if I wanna keep her as a brood mare but I should b able to get a great price
By Retired breeder, 28th December 2011 20:58:22
I'd train her.
By Retired breeder, 28th December 2011 20:59:11
I agree, train her up.
By Retired breeder, 28th December 2011 20:59:23
Well if you sell her, I'd say you could maybe get a pass for her.
By Retired breeder, 28th December 2011 21:01:19
Lol okay well she'll be a baby maker then.
@ twilight and shiannes - I don't think I've entered any reserved for breed GV or Trake comps, but my fillers would do fine to fill for those breeds in open comps.

@ a911245 I just started her and I'm using only age points so it may take another 3ish days before I finish her. I'm planning on getting her to about 170 skills in stamina/dressage/jump and then enter in rookie comps. If she get too much skill for rookies, I'll finish training on dressage and jump before entering comps reserved for Brumbies. She was trained for those, probably would win most of them, so I don't think I'll have any issues getting her to 100 BLUP by age 10.

when I start her entering comps I'm probably going to use my age points on this little man because she's not much use to me BLUPed if I've got nothing to breed her to!default smiley (lol)

If you have a female horse may I breed my horse with yours?
I really like what I made with the Brumbies... They're probably going to be my trademark mix. I am now considering starting something for high Dressage, to get my EC a boost. I'm off to browse the sales for a high-dressage little foaldefault smiley :d

Worth it?
I'm thinking she'd be a good starter for high dressage crosses.

not sure If i like him or not? Anyone have an opinions? I may rebreed with tears if anyone thinks it a good idea. If not, I may find another breed to add in the mix instead of shetland.

Here she is, everyone! Number 1 Trake Trotter! *claps*

http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=21473389

And now I must ask for a stally. I'm looking for 1250+gp. In order for the foal to come out Trake, the stally for my preferences needs to have at least three (unless you've got a Stally who can get around this and have the foal be a Trake) breeds: none 50% or over, and no Standie.
There wasn't anything in the public covers found and the cover I gave her I thought it didn't have Standie...but it did. default smiley (lol) Oops.
