The NIB FAQ:

What is a NIB horse?
A NIB horse is a horse that is not inbred; every horse in its pedigree appears only once (with the exception of Ouranos and Gaia). Horses with "Horse Disappeared" in their pedigree are generally not accepted by NIB breeders unless the horses in question were bought before the horses disappeared and have verifiable pedigrees.

Are there green star NIB horses?
These horses have lower GP than green stars and other top horses, as not inbreeding limits the breeding availability and is slower to progress than breeding brothers to sisters and so forth.
**Misabel edit: The first Green star NIB horse was created on February 21, 2011 - a 6th generation Connemara pony with a star in stamina. He was the end result of a lot of hard work and effort, but now that some dedicated breeders have shown it can be done, we all have something to shoot for!

Are NIB horses considered better than green stars or inbred horses?
Goodness, no! Nobody here is attempting to make that claim. Just like the Zero GP horses, these players choose to play the game in their own challenging way.

How can I get involved with NIB breeding?
It's simple! Start by purchasing a few foundation horses, or horses whose pedigrees can be tracked down and verified as non-inbred. Then carefully breed them to create foals with good GP's and skills that are not inbred!

Ummm, Hi there default smiley :p I have a Quarter Horse filly that I got to 351.2GP. When I reach 90 days I'll probably sell her, or maybe I'll get her to 100BLUP and sell her in the auctions instead. I'd like to see all the bidding default smiley :d
By Retired breeder, 17th February 2010 21:36:14
Wow, racking, how did you do that? I stink at foal games. default smiley ;)default smiley (lol)

It's ok guys, and I will be alright. Sorry about missing Monday and updating on Tuesday, but I've been on time every Monday since November, I think that's a pretty decent record default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2010 01:49:34
Riven, don't appologize, we all understand. Besides, everyone misses a day here and there. I'm glad you'll be okay. Just started gaming my Paso foundies, the first one is working great with Starting Right's game schedule. I have four fillies, but I need some colts, too. If I can get four colts, then I'll have enough foundies to get a third gen. So, after gaming comes the long hard task of BLUPing. Sigh.... Anyway, off to finish gaming the Paso. I think I'll go check the PS for Paso colts. If anyone has any untouched Paso foundies to sell, PM me, I'll take them.default smiley ;)
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2010 02:33:01
I just made some new purchases. I now have four Paso foundie fillies and two Paso foundie colts. I struck rich. Still a couple more pending. Good choice to take on Pasos as a second NIB breed.default smiley :-))

Hi all! It's been pretty quiet in this topic, everyone is working their horses and does not have any time for the forums? default smiley (lol)
Since I've BLUPed Hanan, I've been working my foundations every day. I have some horses stuck in gallopp races and could really use some fillers. I'd be forever grateful to those who helped. default smiley :d The breed is Arabian and they're stuck in comps from 2% to 5% difficulty. Thank's again. default smiley :)
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2010 13:27:40
This Foundation has a lot of wins for only being 6yrs old. Proudly, this is soon to be my horse! default smiley :-)) My foundation for my NIB Connies. I forgot to send a WOY though, so she won't have max skills, but that is fine with me.
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2010 13:30:54
default smiley :o Wow Sunshine, that's a really nice mare with all those wins. default smiley (y)
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2010 13:57:04
'morning all!!

Nice mare - Sunshine!!

Got Caoimhe to 100 BLUP this morning...default smiley :-))....does anyone else find that they need to have more than just the top three skills bolded to get 100? I had her top three bolded by about 8 years old then aged her through but she didn't hit 100 until I had her next top skill (gallop) bolded and a smidge more of stamina filled in?! Is this a NIB thing? I seem to remember having to have all my foundie mares skills bolded......

Plugging away at the rest -- I've only got a couple in training now...I just can't seem to manage doing too many at once, there just aren't enough comps to put them in without overlapping.

Congrats on your wins westwind....default smiley (y)

Sunny83 - I've been quiet... didn't have anything constructive to add to the conversation ^_^ I've been working a few... none of them seem to be getting very far really (or so it seems). I felt like more progress was being made when I concentrated on one at a time, but if I do that I'll be here blupping foundies forever. lol

Sunshine - Nice mare =) Connies are popular recently it seems

Wild North - Heya =) Congrats on blupping her - seems the battle with the races paid off. I've only blupped one and was going for bolded skills anyway so I can't really comment on that. If I ever get near 100blup with another then I'll see what happens!
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2010 14:11:52
Wild North: the horse has to be 10 years old to be 100 BLUP.
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2010 14:16:43
Sandtstar: I also used to work only one horse (better to say I used to train more at once but only did competitions with one), but I've been working (training and comping) at least 20 nowadays. Somehow it's a better feeling to see at least 5 of those 20 horses win a comp, then working only one and have to wait days for a win. default smiley (lol)
By Retired breeder, 18th February 2010 14:27:36
Sunny: True true. I'm hoping that doing a few at once will lead to a greater rush of happiness when they all blup near enough at once default smiley ;)
